Can the news headlines get any more juicy? Man, I am so loving this...

Telecom Italia/Inter now accused of spying on Juve as the conspiracy over the conspiracy widens in scope...

Headlines spelling out how Inter is synonymous with "Eurodisaster"...

Juve's primavera squad hammers the nerazzuri...

Pass the popcorn...

Eh... I saw an interview done by Tavis Smiley on PBS. Chavez meant that Bush was a bad guy, which is true. He just used the wrong words in my opinion. After hearing Chavez's own words explaning the comments I've come to have a better opinion. He's not crazy, he just chose the wrong analogy.

i am not concluding anything. im just saying it is necessarily the english who caused the problems. yes they came, yes they got drunk (i know i would) but why the idea of italians coming over and startinf the trouble is automatically rejected?

It was just an article from Channel 4 that the man posted. No accusations.

Of course it is. But is it not also the fault of the Sicilian fans. It does take two to tango.
Yes, it takes two, and I have not blamed one side, the other side, or both sides. Simply put: Vinman posted an actual article that appears on Channel 4. Then commented about the jailed Englishmen getting out alive. He didn't blame the English (as I recall - could be wrong, though) and then a bunch of posters started defending the West Ham fans before any accusations were leveled. I just wondered why everybody was running to defend :pumpkin:

It really is too bad that Tutto Sport is known to be a pack of lies and is so slanted toward favoring the Turin clubs. So when I read that Inter could be stripped of the "Scudetto" that the courts recently awarded to them, I start to salivate and then realize it's only Tutto Sport, so Inter will not be stripped of anything

Exactly...

No one knows what has happenned at this time.Flicking through the italian channels, so far I have seen 3 reports blaming the Palermo fans, 2 blaming the english and the only Italian radio report i listened to also blamed the english.

What we do know is after the t-shirt business that palermo Ultras were reportedly arranging a shall we say 'warm' reception for the hammers fans...

We also know that the Palermo fans have an appalling record for violence... Only last week they painted the streets 'red' in numerous clashes with Catania fans.

As I said i have no idea who is 'responsible' for this incident, if indeed any one set of supporters holds the blame.

Not really... Vinni did add the following to the article...

Vinman said:
after all the mafia references by the West Ham fans, they now have the nerve to go to Palermo and cause problems...

we'll see if they all get out alive-
Seems like an accusation to me

thats a dumb question...of course I do

I read a post on another forum from a Palermo fan (who lives in Palermo) who says that the West Ham fans got drunk last night, started fighting with each other, trashed the pub they were drinking in, and then went out into the street, starting random fights with people in the area
Would that be the same fan on xtratime saying how over 100 fans were arrested, yet the Chief of police himself say it was only 20

I have nothing against the English, or their fans, but they have had a pretty bad reputation in the past
Interesting, you look tgo the english fans because of as you say a 'past' reputation... What about palermo's current reputation...

Or for that matter the current reputation no one likes to admit of violence at almost every single Serie A match, week in week out...

Let's face it, you should never run a campaign of insults if you then have to face the Second Leg on the road. You really put the traveling party in harm's way. After the Mafia shit, you had to know there would be problems in Palermo.

It is so much better to have the Second Leg at home, so you can get away with all the gamesmanship and stupid stunts.

I thought it was quite clever of the West Ham fans. I always thought of Sicilians as a tough people. It's a shame Palermo fans couldn't be clever as well and come up with a T-Shirt of their own.

How many Palermo fans arrested when they played the first match at West ham?

How many Palermo fans started fighting when the team was away at West Ham?

I don't know the answer but I'm sure my GUESS is correct.

I wonder what would happen if the first match was played in Palermo and a t-shirt stating "ENGLAND=HOOLIGANS, BAD TEETH AND BAD FOOD" was distributed...
my guess? When Sicilians visited West Ham I would expect more than just 20 supporters arrested...

    just a hunch...

Palermitiani are no cup of tea but they are IONS from the fine gents that support West Ham

How many recent incidents can you name concerning West Ham supporters and hooliganism? Now ask the same question about Palermo or other Serie A teams.

And by the way its EONS not IONS.

PS. If Palermo made that shirt, I'd have one.

    PPS. Fuck my spelling today.
