However, the only main player in this entire thread to be banned over such arguments, out of people such as myself, Nick and Vinni, was Seven. Now even though perhaps Vinman should have spent some time on the sidelines, there is no question Seven's was justified. So if it's about intelligence and keeping oneself alive on a forum, I can't say Seven was very effective in that regard.
I'll agree that Bush is an asshole and a bad president. His domestic policies are pretty bad as well, ask a Katrina survivor. Still he isn't the devil, he's not Hitler, or the Candyman. He's a bad president looking out for the interests of big business, of course he interests to squash the interests of other countries and people but that doesn't mean he's a red guy with horns and a pitchfork. Now I've said Bush is the devil several times but I didn't seriously think or mean he was The Devil. I think Chavez was being literal when he made his comments. I mean he is the same guy who said Venezuela was next on the US list of countries to invade.

Thats what you don't get....I don't come here to display intelligence or knowledge...when I want to bang some chick from the Universita di Bologna or a visiting student from Stanford or some chick on a post graduation trip then I may spew my thoughts/views on America's role as the World Police in a Post 9/11 world....or my thoughts on the literary prowess of Jonathan Safran Foer or my take on the Israeli-Arab issue....I may even flash my Ivy league degree.

I communicate daily with my friend, an Algerian woman working in Iraq for US Army as a linguist, so I can only speak of Iraq and it seems that Bush's "victims" are mainly foreign fighters. Objective No.1 now is to rid the country of the 5,000 foreign fighters in Iraq. Many are dying every day. 150 are imprisoned. You CANNOT be considered a victim when you travel half the world over to take part in a fight. You have got what you have bargained for. So dead Algerian & Tunisian fighters in Iraq can hardly cry about the US Devil.
If you want to balme the thousands of death from Shiia vs. Suni violence on Bush, then I do not see that connection. Not that I would defend Bush, but seriously, in the Arab World "Satan" is the most overused word and it applies to whomever occupies the US Presidency. So, by that logic Satan changes every four years.

I have complete faith in the Agnelli family, Full stop... John, Andrea or lapo... They are all good men who have my respect and my faith... Lapo lives a slightly alternative lifestyle and lets his mouth run on occasion.. So what... He knows what hes doing and is committed to the right path... Not to mention that the men who really matter (john and andrea) are all we will ever need to steer our club in the right direction.

Don't be tricked by the great media clowd of Alqaeda and Abu Musa'b Al'Zarqawi which was enlargened multiple times to make USA looks like the victim against one worldwide evil called AlQaeda...
When Bush started his war in Iraq, it was because of claimed destruction weapons, but as soon as those claims were denied by the invadors themselves, they tried to create a illusionary enemy that has some relations with those who made the 11th of September attacks, and they found Abu Musab as the man that can be that monster who can be used to spread the horror between the normal American people that the threat on their lives is continuous, so they have to send more of their sons to far far countries that they won't have any use occupying them except filling Cheney and Bush's pockets...

But when you were talking of the Lebanon situation recently... Your words that you so strongly push did not replicate the feeling or attitude or even situation I had when i was in tyre during that period.. Or in Israel at that time... Or the experiences i had previously in iraq or afghanistan...

Yeah, I saw all that in the Lapo thread, and my first thought was there must be more to the story than this. People are quick to jump on the bandwagon without doing any research, however despite all this it's almost embarrassing we have someone such as Lapo affiliated with the club. I live 500 metres from the house where Abu Musa'b was born and raised...
I have some relatives too in Lebanon camps, so I hear from them, but I can't say that I lived between them any day...
I don't know if it is my good luck or bad luck, but I witnessed many events in this region...
Anyway, I just wanted to highight the fact that Chavez didn't create the word "Devil" from nothing...
