I guess I don't quite follow the TV-revenue-for-domestic-league logic as a determinant for what makes Europe's Inter. By that token, England should have five WC trophies to Brazil's one.

What it takes to be an Inter of Europe, as I see it, are top-dollar players and personnel, perennial hype about how they have the pieces to win it all, and how they flat out disappoint every single time.

If I were an interista, I would only wish that my club's problems could come down to financial mismanagement. That would be such an easier problem to solve. ;)
I like to maintain at least some numerical logic in this senseless sport

Agree, I hate the beltway too, but 270 is ok, it's like our mini autobahn. I've never seen a cop on that road...ever.
270 is great as long as you're not travelling towards Frederick during rush hour on a weekday. Once you get down past Germantown you have four lanes to suit your driving needs.

I agree. I thought the ball took a deflection. At first I thought it hit the keeper's knee. If the ball deflected off a defender then that is when the ball was played to Adriano, and therefore, not offside.
I think you need glasses:D

;) Nice.

But Pablo Ramírez of Univision was far better on the call. As Maniche was running towards the stands after scoring his goal, Pablo started this chant of "MA! - NEE! - CHAY! MA! - NEE! - CHAY!!" over and over again, saying it faster and faster like an accelerating steam train, going ten times fast by the end. That was pure performance art.

I  Pablo. Andrés Cantor may be Mr. Goooooool and gets all the props for that, but Pablo is a jazz improvisationalist genius when it comes to play-by-play commentary. :agree:

It's pronounced "Maneeesh", but many Spanish speakers will resort to "Maneechay".

Wacky. All I get is the celebrations in Portugal on RTPi. After the Netherlands match, some kid got loaded and fell off a monument ledge at Marquês dePombal Square in Lisbon and had to be carted off in a stretcher.
