Is it only these cities? I can go party in a different city in Europe each weekend without having to pay 10% of what an American would to visit one of them.
Well, obviously there are a lot of great cities in Europe, but these are the ones an American would want to visit I guess.

You should visit Antwerpen more often. Great city to get drunk in.

Ask what? Why what? You're not making any sense

I was there in... December I think. I did not get drunk despite the Glühwein all over the place
Thank god you weren't then. Pretty much everyone who goes to Antwerpen these days goes home vomiting. During the holidays I try to steer clear of big cities :D.

There are lovely bars in Antwerpen though. Especially when it's August, 7pm and saturday night, when you know you're in for hours of laughter.

I've enjoyed The Hague's sea-side boulevard the past few Augusts: it's littered with bars (both on the boulevard, on the beach, as well as on the pier) and it's great fun.

I'll remember that tho

why do you like heitinga?
Oh.

Cause he's just about the first Dutch defender in a long time I've seen who will just kick the ball out of the park when the situation so requires, instead of endlessly trying to solve everything in a footballing way. Looking to regain possession, pass to midfielders and forwards... That tactic tends to backfire at crucial moments (Philip Cocu on Euro2004 against Portugal).

True, it can backfire. But I also think that's what so wonderful about watching Milan, or even better was so wonderful about watching Juventus in 2003. The way those squads build up possession is/was incredible.

Went to Game 7 last night.

Hurricanes now playing for Stanley Cup.

Got hit with piss balloon.

Every silver cloud has its urine soaked lining.

sad to say that Buffalo got beat by injuries, not by the Hurricanes....

nothing like watching a bunch of rednecks in the stands who dont know a hockey stick from a fishing pole

best part of the game was the Hurricanes cheerleaders...at least when they scored, I had something nice to look at

Well obviously someone who doesn't live in Europe would want to see cities such as Prague and Paris before Antwerp and Montpellier..

Then throw in a family who doesn't like to fly and travel to distant places, and you have yourself a problem. Don't ask me how I made it out of Hickland USA to become a soccer fan who talks with people from all over the world every single day.

Don't you just love it how Paris, Rome and London are all fairly close. An American would have to save for years to be able to afford a trip to one of these cities.

 Really? And where did you hear that bit of fantasy?

Thanks for the laugh, my brother.

That's a bit harsh. Buffalo was certainly depleted by injuries, but the Hurricanes were in no way inferior on the ice. face it, The Hurricanes are an excellent side.

Why do you assume we have rednecks in the stands? Raleigh is not exactly a redneck city. We are probably 80% transplanted Northerners, and the hockey fans are mostly these same Northerners.

I agree with Nawaf about Paris.

Come now, Paris is great. Hell, Brescia is great. Verona is great. Budapest is great. Madrid, Barcellona and Sevilla are great. It would really be news to come up with a list of European cities that just suck. A much more difficult proposition I'm afraid.
