i wouldnt mind to see capello as a gm. who with common sense liked moggi and giraudo? those men are there to do the job, not to be liked. capello is a tough character, knows football, is respected person, im sure he could work wonders there.

now if only he'd resign as a coach
Well, I could agree with that, if he only he would stop buying players that ressemble him as a football player: tough, hard working, but absolutely zero class and technique.

Combining this role with being a coach is just pure insanity though.

I give Cap points for loyalty.

And sometimes in business, you promote up to get rid of deadwood. :p

But Il Professore replacing Sacco -- that's kind of cool, guys. There's a little bit of a silver lining to this news afterall.

You don't keep your team in TOP spot for your entire tenure and go unnoticed...you don't win two scudetti's in a row and go unnoticed..especially when your colleagues are on the verge of being indicted and banned from football for life. You are Elkann...do you fire Capello?? What the hell for....yes, not everyone agrees with his decisions and I agree there...but seriously, two scudettis and never in second place....you didn't really expect him to be fired did you??

And let's not forget that Capello's mission may be to get Juve back in Serie A, and he would be a solid candidate for that.

I don't think this team can be whining about underachieving tactics in European play when there's a real chance that Juve's next European competition could be years out at this point.

Why on earth would we cling on to Capello if we're going down? If we're at the verge of being destroyed, we should start rebuilding. Not go on with the ruins of before. It would be better to have a fresh open minded coach, someone who is up to date with the football of today. Capello will NEVER bring Juventus back to top level. I don't even think we ever were world class under him. We were just consistently good.

Capello WILL NOT be Juventus' coach next season. It all depends on which league we would be playing and the new coach will be assigned. In the meantime it is Capello.

I don't buy that a scorched earth policy is what Juve needs here from a team performance perspective, but I did think they needed one from a club management perspective wrt the scandal.

Good point, Jack. There's too much uncertainty about what we'll need in terms of coaching given where we'll play, but the club has open positions in management we'd need regardless.

(I wouldn't mind seeing Donadoni in, for example, depending on where we end up...)

This is exactly what is happening. Juventus are not stupid to start worrying about changing the coach at this moment. The top management has resigned and this is where the re-building starts; or is it the other way around? No.

The team is still undergoing accusations, investigations and hearings and nothing is certain. Giving Capello and Secco the positions they got was a step in the right direction. These two men have been in the club, one of them for more than six years; hiring outside men at this moment in time is certainly a wrong thing to do.

I am sure no one was happy with Capello as coach last year and everyone knows even him that the club needs a new coach. Why hire, supposedly Mourinho, if we are going to play in Serie B? This is why Capello is still the coach. Donadoni coaching us in Serie A would be great. Vialli coaching in Serie B is also a splendid idea.

Yea, Baldini has Juventus drawn all over his face.

Nothing to do with that. The dude would have been great replacement for moggi for our transfers. Now whats this about capello dealing with our transfers sickens me. I want all ex juventinos in charge of our board, not these ex milan chumps. With baldini as a exception with his roma past, he could purely deal with transfers which is obvious enough. Just want this saga to end quickly so we know what to do.

Did you know that Capello played with Juventus?
