Inzaghi is a Juve fan but we're finished with him

Gila is a Juve fan and will arrive shortly
Gila will arrive shortly? Apparently so will Buffon....don't take rumors as the truth otherwise you are in for a major disappointment

Juve had the chance to get Gila but declined...they also had the chance to get Kaka but they also declined...can't wait to see WHO you decline next :pint:

Actually Inzaghi was not a Juve fan growing up..he was a Juve player not a fan

Yes, we are a race of pig-men. Half Pig, half man.

That is why I moved back to Asbury Park, NJ yesterday.

    Ferris Wheel still closed
Well, that still sucks. Are there any unbroken windows left in town??? :moan:

Btw, I dug out a contact sheet of some b&w photos I took of my last venture out to Asbury Park (part of my more thorough, pre-digital photography, evening wannabe art student days). These are over 15 years old. The beach, the opera house, and everything was as abandoned as a small town after a neutron bomb blast. Save for the one guy with radiation damage to what was left of his brain in the photo at lower right -- I think he was the mayor or something. All I remember is that I didn't want to play in the rusted merry-go-round with him, as the urine stains on his pants didn't exactly say, "Safe with children".

I found the place pretty fascinating, actually, though most would think it's pretty depressing. I only hope it's improved over the years, as the place obviously had some former glory and the potential to gain some of it back.

No. Beating a second rate Suns team doesn't count.

Second Rate??? Oh, you must mean Second SEED, because that's what they are ranked in the tougher Western Conference. And please, don't use the "well, they didn't have Amare Stoudamire" excuse. They haven't had him all year, and they still finished as the 2nd seed.

And as far as that overrated, crybaby Steve Nash winning the MVP again?? Let me ask you this. Who, in all of the NBA, would you rather have taking the game winning shot for you??

    Thought So. Kobe Bryant.

And if you're going to bring up the "how many rings has Kobe won without Shaq?? Argument, how many rings has Shaq won without Kobe?? Oh yeah, that's right. None."

    Jose Mourinho:

"Can anyone tell me why the Shevchenko goal [for AC Milan] was ruled out at Barcelona? When you have to face this situation, I can't predict anything."

(Commenting on Barca being in the final)

The official Merk has been given a slap on the wrist..he will not be officiating any Italy or Ukraine games and will not be the official for the WC Final.

    oh well

Why was Cambiasso's goal ruled out in last year's semi final?
Why was DP's goal ruled out against Liverpool?
    Why is the sky blue?
    why do birds fly?

I do want to take on Paul in that cage fight, because as much as it would not be that entertaining, but I know my 185 grain "Core-Lokt" 9mm's coming out of the Beretta 92F would look nice for a while...............whoooooooooo I'm getting a hard-on just thinking about it.

Greg, it's actually the old "Casino" and "Convention Hall" that are the main two structures, on opposite ends of the old boardwalk, not a opera house. I see you have photographed the pilings beneath the Casino and the ramp outside the old Howard Johnsons (which stayed open year round when everything else except for Criterion Salt Water Taffy was closed down). Thanks for the pics on my home.

Asbury Park was an amazing place in the 1970's but fell into oblivion in the 1980's. It has such great potential to come back, and there is talk, has always been talk, of investment coming in to redevelop it into god knows what, but it remains a ghost town. My ghost town. My dream is to be the man who brings it back, but if I do the homeless former mental patients will have no place to go.

And I present to you the former mayor of Asbury Park, NJ... (scary to think that chances are this guy is no longer alive)

When President Ronald Reagan eliminated federal funding to mental health institutions in the 1980's nearly all of the hospitals catering to the mentally ill in New Jersey closed down.

What became of the severly insane residents?

They were taken for a drive and set free at the boardwalk in . . . wait for it . . . yes, you guessed it . . . ASBURY PARK

    How's that for a legacy?
