i'd love to see how many of you would still cheer for juventus if we wouldnt win anything for, say, 10 years?

one of the reasons i admire inter fans is their loyalty. half of of those here who everyday day claim "ill support juve even in serie c" haven't seen juventus finnishing below top 3 and have no idea who e.g. john charles is.

so easy on the man u fans, take a look at the bunch over here.
thats a good point...i have a lot of respect for fiorentina fans for their loyal support during their troubles. i will support juve through thick and thin forever more

See this thread is the same ol bullshit as ever, though with somewhat less real discussion it has to be said.

Simple answer is very few Fli... I know many so called biggest fans ever that soon swapped sides when we went through our 9 years of failure... It would be no different if that happened now.

Spot on fli, the amount of so called massive fans that have no idea whatsoever about our club is unbelievable... they are all glory hunters.

I would also add napoli, liverpool and viola fans into that bracket... whatever we think of their teams, those fans cannot be accused of glory hunting.

It would be interesting to know how many of these saying manu fans are the worst etc have actually been to old trafford... probably not many.

Old trafford is a great place to go, with prawn sandwich brigade aside alot of great fans... Fans that gave del piero a standing ovation not so long ago, fans that joined us in singing for del piero on our last meeting at trafford... Fans we had great banter with and swapped shirts with... fans who gave us.. the fans of juventus a standing ovation at the end of the match after we matched them song for song for 90 mins. Fans who many of which sung with us on that fateful day in 2003

People should try actually going there a ferw times before commentionmg... there isnt many stadiums in the world with a better atmosphere than at old trafford.

As for glory hunters, of course they have loads, they arent aty old trafford though, they are on forums in the streetys and 100's of miles away.

Do you think it is any different for juve... a reported 174 mil fans worldwide... please... 173 mil of them are glory hunters... we are the same as manu or real in that respect... allways have been allways will be.

I am old enough to have gone through Serie B with my team....a team that boasted the likes of Rivera, Cesare Maldini, Trap, etc. found itself demoted TWICE ... I can still remember Milan fans not wanting to walk in cafe's and at one point avoiding bars showing games altogether....
I still remember cramming into a bar and watching the team play in Serie B TWICE in three years...almost embarrased to be watching...
And despite the Berlusconi's purchase in 85-86 and influx of new players...the CL titles..the Intercontinental cups..etc. one of the best and most lasting memories I have of the team is Mark Hateley's header against Inter in 1984 proclaming the team was 'back' after years of misery....
An interesting fact is that in 1983 I believe it was Milan played Cavese at home...a Serie B match....there were over 60,000 fans at San Siro...for a Serie B game.

Indeed, and im sure you know many fans who dissapeared in those times as i do many juve fans who went away in our 9 years of loss
Some fans are sly they will not outright support another team but make the usual statement claming it is the 'game' they are fed up with like : The players don't care whether they win or lose and the usual excuses to distance themselves from the team but still be able to hop on when it is good for them....obviously every fan sees an influx of these at certain points...

Milan's Serie B demise and the timing is one of the reasons there are so many Juventus fans in North America...The 82 National Team was made up of many Juve players and practically no Milan players...Juve had the likes of Rossi, Scirea, Zoff and company while Milan were struggling to keep afloat...they went on to capture Europe so naturally it was the GO-TO team for those Italians overseas who didn't already have Juve in their sphere ...

Sorry mate, if we were all going out together, then hell yes I'd be there. But drinking over the interweb holds no charm for me.

Anyway, on the drive in this morning the street was littered with shoes. I'm serious. But they were all men's shoes, so nothing to get excited about. Anyway, if Enron was here he could have bounced his fappy count up about 19 points.

Good to see you back, Paul. Hopefully you won't disappear for so long again because this thread is a zoo without some people here..

Have a good time at Highbury and hopefully we'll get a result tonight.

    Forza Juve

Good luck with that; I know how the work thing goes. I have to miss the second half of the match today because of a ridiculous calculus exam, which pretty much ruins my whole week. However, at least I will be able to see the return leg in Turin next time around. Fucking school.

A move to Torino sounds rather appetizing right now... as it always does.
