No, not the Festival of Lights, not the Birth of Jesus, not the Fap in a Shoe Feast, not the day of Thanksgiving, not the beginning of the calendar year. So I'm stumped.

Yes, pack a bunch of candles in your ass, drive around in your pick-up truck shouting racist slogans at everybody with a red neck. I hate that fooking day. Boxing Day is so much more civilized.

To anyone who cares, Kwanzaa begins today.

Kwanzaa is traditionally a non-religious African American holiday which celebrates family, community, and culture. It is celebrated for seven days: December 26 - January 1.

Dr. Maulana Karenga, professor and chairman of Black Studies at California State University, Long Beach, created Kwanzaa in 1966. After the Watts riots in Los Angeles, Dr. Karenga searched for ways to bring African-Americans together as a community. He founded US, a cultural organization, and started to research African "first fruit" (harvest) celebrations.

Just thought I would add some history for those who may not celebrate Christmas, or Hanukkah.

Question: To anyone who is Islamic, is there a celebration around this time?
I thought there was Ramadan, but that is in October, correct?
So thats what it is.

BULLSHIT. Look at that - "Traditionally" it actually says "Traditionally" yet is was just started in 1966 and nobody East of California ever heard of it until something like 1992. BULL FUCKING SHIT

Sorry, but I cannot take seriously any "Holiday" that has been around fewer years than me.

Never thought of it, but man-o-man you give me a great idea. I'll put on a Santa suit and start kicking in doors. I'll be beating it raw in a variety of shoes that would otherwise never have access to. Great idea, Enron. But, I can probably only get away with it this month.
