@Erik
Guus Hiddink is fantastic. IMO we need to see Hiddink at a 'big club' to see how he fares there. I certainly like his brand of football more.
PSV is pretty big :D

Dont get your panties in a twist Erik, Bora Milutinović did it with 5 national teams, if I remember correctly, they were USA, Mexico, Nigeria, Costa Rica. All of them except China reached the second round.
No need to be patronising, Zlatan. I was merely pointing out it's still remarkable (though not any type of record) and figured I should post the article because it argues Hiddink is better than Mourinho. An interesting take...

If only we could see Guus Hiddink at Juventus...oh how I would love that. In my opinion he's the sort of manager to win the Champions League in this day and age, as he is a bit more liberal with the tactical visions of the game. He always takes one match at a time and makes the obvious changes to win each and every match...for instance, in the match against Milan in Eindhoven, Hiddink decided to field a 3-4-3 with a diamond in midfield to counter Ancelotti's diamond four in midfied, thus matching players against Pirlo and Kaka respectively. His system might look open to abuse on the wings, however as we all know Milan only have their wingbacks on the flanks, and with Beasley and Farfan in attack those wingbacks had to stay at home. This is the obvious thing to do against Milan...and it worked wonders. That's the sort of coach I admire. :star:
Indeed but down to the wire, if you had to choose; Hiddink or Mourinho?

I would still have to take Mourinho despite his arrogant personality. The man already won the CL once and he is certainly a bit more distinguished on the club scene...Hiddink would not be a bad choice either though.

Actually so would I but for some reason Mourinho always makes me think about Louis van Gaal. I hope he won't implode the same way tho...

Four out of Nick's last seven posts were directed at me. Yet I get attacked for annoying Tifoso Lou. Now that's just odd. And as if that wasn't enough, you guys even welcomed Nick back. I guess my point is Nick didn't really post that much ;).
Last time I was around you promised you were leaving never to return ... this moments after Sergio ripped you a new rectum to spew your shite from. It seems that two rectums were not enough as you had way too much shite to spew...
You are boring. Pointless. Predictable and feel the need to let us know how you are against American Foreign Policy and American Mentality in general. You feel the need to label individuals as 'bullies' and 'ignorant' when they expose you for the boring and pathetic individual you are and more importantly you feel the need to post in here just to be heard....
Consider this my last post to you ... correction:

Hello Nick. What was up with those prank calls these past few weeks?

And good luck on your Turkish test tomorrow...you'll need it. I will probably put some money on you lot, so Milan better not let us down...again.

    1. Was not a prank call....someone nailed it on the button.

    2. I don't think we will need it...we didn't play badly against Fiorentina...sometimes you deserve to lose 3-1 (see Milan-Juve) and sometimes the score line is not really indicative of the actual game (Fiorentina-Milan). Juve is going through a good period and Milan has still not convinced me that they have found their 'rythm' this season. Even with 8 victories in a row I knew they were playing better 'game' last season. I had the same feeling when papers were worshipping Juve with 8 wins in a row and seeing the Milan-Juve game as a predictable win.

Last season Juve were ahead by 8 points late in the season only to see lose the lead in a week and a half. It is a long season...let's not be naive.

    1. What the hell are you talking about?

    2. Juventus is not exactly going through a good period...we might be winning games however in the matches itself we are not really playing well. We are winning despite our lackluster performances in which we are having trouble creating chances and of course we already lost the two most difficult tasks of the season. So it's no secret we have not been playing to our best ability, however that is not surprising with Capello as coach.

And how exactly am I being naive? Infact if you read my views of Juventus right now I'm anything BUT naive...almost anybody can tell you I personally do not like how this Juventus is being run at the moment and I have seen our lackluster performances with my own eyes. But I have also seen your performances with my own eyes and I cannot say you played "well" against La Viola on Sunday and if the Istanbul loss comes back to haunt you anything can happen...you lot already lost to PSV with Hiddink's brilliant tactical display. If Fenerbache's Alex has a great game you could find yourself in deep shit Nicola...don't be naive yourself, my friend.

But I do expect Milan to win tomorrow and I will place a good sum of money on it as well.

Being hated by all the media and every fan in the world except your own doesn't help in the long term.

    "Lies damn lies and statistics"

Stop googling SERIE A SEASON 2005 and think back....after Juve defeated Milan at San Siro the Milan season was pretty much over in Serie A...they put a reserve team in their next appearances to concentrate on the final (shut up). If you watch Serie A you know that the final tally is never a real PICTURE of what occured during the season...
same as in 2002-2003...stats will tell you that Milan finished behind Juve with 10 points...
Stats will not tell you that Milan beat Juve in the March encounter...finished Winter Champs at the break and began to let the lead slip because of draws against middle of the pack teams....then they went on to outplay Juve in the final (CL) despite the goalless score line.

    lets not be naive.

    Here's one for ya:

Scoreboardjournalistiek (Dutch. English translation: Scoreboard journalism) - The act of focusing on final scores and statistics when reporting about football matches; while disregarding other important aspects.
