While you're laughing Andy, why don't you ask yourself why a snow storm is hitting PA in October and if this has ever happened before. And ask why this is the first time ever that named storms made it through the entire alphabet and we still have another month of hurricane season. Too much fooking with the environment? Maybe.

alright you must live in a brave new world or something. if guns arent a direct line to your society then they are definitely linked to you through war. war impacts the world on many different levels. taxes, stock markets, disease, everything. a war in africa def affects europe especially with all the european mineral mining invested in africa and not to mention oil. even the dutch played dirty in nigeria to keep a profit going.
Bah why does everyone in this thread always drag the Dutch into their stupid discussions. Use your own damn countries as an example you fvcktards*

You know, there's this wild speculation that Hurricane Katrina et al were plots by ex-KGB and disgruntled Japanese technitians... :undecide:

check out Weather Wars
Wow, some pretty in-depth analysis there while I was just expecting complete nonsense. All of the meteorological observations listed by the writer of this Katrina article are seemingly factual, however many can be refuted by looking at other examples of hurricanes throughout history. I mean we have had to deal with hurricanes since the beginning of time, but the reason why the monetary consequences of hurricanes keep rising every decade is quite obvious...expansion of the sunbelt areas of the South did not start to occur until the 1960's and beyond.

There is some good stuff in that article, however it just provides us with a good laugh. Nice find Nawaf. :D

i think the hardest hit areas were naples and ft lauderdale. i have a friend who goes to school at Gulf Coast U which I think is close to Ft Meyers and she hasnt said much about them being hit too hard.

The weather is really weird this year, I heard that the winter in Sweden will record a record low in temperature.

As for guns, it is said that they are one of the most advanced mechanical inventions; not a fan myself but I understand the fascination of some people.

Perhaps, however we have been dealing with strong hurricanes for centuries, Pado. The strongest hurricane on record before Wilma was the Florida Keys hurricane of 1935 which had a central pressure of 892 MB, followed by the 1969 Hurricane Camille that was recorded at 909 MB. As you probably know already water temperature is the major factor in strengthening hurricanes, and in August when Katrina started to form the water temps of some regions of the Gulf hovered around 90 degrees Fahrenheit...some very warm brewing waters. However, what were some of the recorded Gulf water temps back in 1969? About 90 degrees fahrenheit. Now unless there were thousands of factories we did not know about prior to, say, 1930, there is not much of a connection between Global Warming and hurricane formation...it varies every year as well as the water temperature.

Now of course Global Warming does have some effect on water temps, we still do not know how much and evidence leads me to believe little. Weather does not rely on just one or two factors to come together and make the perfect storm...weather depends on many different factors to combine and some aspects must be just right for things to occur in nature. Concluding that Global Warming is the sole reason why we have had such a terrible hurricane season is sheer lunacy IMO.

Personally, I believe the "Hurricane cycles" theory that says there are certain cycles that the ocean goes through, sometimes taking decades or longer to complete, that explain the number of hurricanes we have to deal with over a period of time. Seems more believable to me and less dramatic..

Whoa its already snowing where you are Andy?

That must completely suck
Nah it's not snowing where I'm located...that type of weather will probably just be found in the higher elevations of Central, Western, and Northern Pennsylvania. Looks like the Poconos will get some snow, however down here we only have a chance of wet flurries on Tuesday night.

But still, I dont recall such an early snow storm and Nor-Easter...lucky for Boston the warm waters of the ocean will spare them from the snow. However, they are expecting winds upwards of 50mph up in New England.

this is a Nor-Easter? I thought you had to get the two storms to come together before you could have one. I dont remember I didnt really pay attention in Meteorology.
