Not to sound preachy, but being a mod is hard work and, for the most part, completely unappreciated.

Don't get me wrong. I agree that it appears that Seven is screaming to be banned....but the mods may know something about his circumstances that we do not. I, for one, trust them.

Seven is being handled separately independent of any dealings with Claire. Two very separate people and situations.

While I think it's sad and pathetic that someone has to pick fights with Lou of all people, people have posted far worse things about others and did so in a much more serious manner. I can't take Seven as entirely serious in this case, and I think some folks are making more out of it because they have been on the wrong side of a Seven flame war.

That said, I've made it clear to Seven that posts like that won't be tolerated. I've banned his so-called brother already, and I'm dead serious about his account for another incident like this.

(And when Marty gives us temp bans priviledges in vB3, none of us will be having this discussion.)

What you give, what you've done and who you are are important factors on how you will be moderated?

If it were only that simple with clear lines. It's not. There's no black and white, and looking for it is futile. There are just a number of judgement calls that have to be made with an attempt to pull yourself out of the situation and be as clear- and level-headed as possible.

Some things you have to allow for the heat-of-the-moment or provocation by others. Everybody gets a little steamed here sometimes, even Lou, and banning someone each time would be nonsense. Then there are some things you have to stop in their tracks right away because they set open precedents for others to follow and for the said individuals to try worse.

In the meantime, some of us try to do our best to keep this from being a garbage dump of insults while not turning it into prolonged court cases of trial law to debate evidence.

I'm loving this. I've never seen a less classy guy than Nick. Seriously Nicky, what's up with all that screaming? Though Jae should know better. You know Claire is just as bad as me, Jae. Besides, I have said things towards mods anyway.

Oh and guess what, people have made far worse comments towards me than my comment towards Lou, which in all fairness still looks quite accurate. Though that's probably because we're kind of paranoid when it comes to pedophiles here in Belgium.
