there is england...then there is chav england...where the scum of the earth trully reside, football hooligans and all.
To be honest, I met many different 'types' in England and English abroad. The after work pub crowd in for a pint trying to 'keep it real' who as we say in America are 'workin for the man every night and day'.
The upper end pubs or gastro-pubs in and around West London (Royal Oak if I remeber correctly) and Chelsea where the metrosexuals David Beckham wanna be's spoke about 'options' 'commodities' and the newest fashion trend
The West-end cafes full of wanna be artists and wanna be intellects.

Despite this the most heartwarming and charasmatic Brits I ever met were in Istanbul when Liverpool won a game in six minutes time. Instead of bombarding us with piss, insults or in your face chants like I have witnessed Interisti, Juventini, Deportivo and Barca fans do the scousers applauded Milan at the end of the game and gave them a standing O. Then outside the gates they clapped and cheered as we made our way out and slowly asked us to exchange scarfs, jerseys et al.
So despite the bullsh*t about the hooligans and chavs they were the best respresentations of Brits abroad while the Yuppie crowd was just another 'click' who thought their job, wealth or clothes set them apart from the rest of society...nothing new in that concept.

P.S. Jae is Jeremy Davies...for the last time.

Did you see who was palying in the Club Brugge defense last night?

    Our old pal De Cock.

Sorry Burke, but you smell badly. And yes, I did see the unit on that guy.
I thought De Cock had a good game last night...really made good penetration down the right flank. I would take him in Turin.
