Exactly the point, amico mio. It becomes offensive when outsiders joke/disrespect it, though.

Am I making any sense?
Yes of course it gets offensive when outsider joke about something like that, but u shouldn't take it too personal and leave forum. Few months ago there was some disrespecting of Srebrenica, I got angry because of it but I didn't leave forum

It began to get better towards the end in Rome...I figured out what time I REALLY fell asleep and just slept those precious few hours...
I have a feeling the working out has helped tremendously these past few months.

Asked for it once at Barnes & Nobles...they were out...
I may just order it off Amazon but first I need to get back into 'top shape' ... its been 2 months and some I have been hitting the gym 5 times a week.

If I do go back to Rome I'm planning on going to Buffalo, Rhode Island and then North Carolina where I'll crash on Pado's sofa and convince his wife I'm not a crazy friend of Robert's from the internet :D

Not sure what you're trying to convey, however if you don't understand the protective parents concept I would not be surprised...different countries and different parents.
What's that supposed to mean? Of course we have protective parents, I probably live in a better area and went to better schools etc than you, my parents were overprotective aswell, but there comes a time you need to grow some balls and 21 is kinda late. No offence.

It has suddenly become a passion now (like rugby some years back) because they have actually won something...
Stop posting such uneducated crap. Seriously, then everyone starts saying it and it suddenly becomes the general opinion.

Not really on Sept. 11. You don't know WHO lost a mother, father, brother, friend or relative that day..you don't know the connection the person may have but more importantly out of respect for the VICTIMS...people that feel the need to critize on that day just want to provoke reaction...

If what they have to say is important they can make their point some other day...
Sorry but I don't see that logic at all. Say it on another day and noone will listen. Any date of a terrorist attack or war or grievance is exactly the date we talk about it and it's the best time for it. Come 7/7 we will talk about it, there will be plenty blaming them, us, everyone & people will offend and intentionally provoke. That's how it is. Say it on another day and noone will listen.

Of course some will just try to provoke, but all I don't understand is why the Americans here react so badly everytime. Obviously I understand the frustration, but surely it is to be expected and surely experienced in the real world. What will Sergio quit his job if a co-worker says something wrong etc?

[edit: oh I just read the posts. let me withdraw this part. ]

Anyways don't take it wrong, I was just suprised.

Some of you guys are seriously USING 9/11 for personal vendetta. What I said was in NO WAY offensive. What I said last year shouldn't have been taken out of context, but that's exactly what Andy did. TBH this just looks like you're after me. Like Padovano said, you were all waiting for me to say something. Didn't matter what I said anyway.

Horsesh*t. Michael Moore had something to say and did it years from 9/11 and it was not released in conjunction with any 9/11 memorial. Nor did the 9/11 report.
One day out of 365 is reserved for mourning the victims of the disaster be it WWII, the London bombings or 9/11. Why take away from a memorial just to get a personal point across when it can be done any other day.

Like I said..if someone REALLY has something to say the WORDS will speak for themselves and they will not need to do it on the anniversary of the disaster to get the point across.

Not really. Inviduals put up with much bullsh*t at work because it is work because they need to make $$$..because they need to provide for families. Its not that easy to just walk away from a job. It is from a forum..see the difference.
