From what I understand they are saying that Gilardino is being sold below his value and as a result is not acceptable for the sake of creditors. Everyone knows that players are usually sold for considerably less so the infamous "I'll scratch your back you scratch mine" comes into play...Parma cuts 3-4 million of their intended transfer price and next time Milan has a hot player to loan out Parma will be the first destination...

I see the whole thing just news here and there, but in the end by the 31st of August, he will be wearing Milan's jersey.

Indeed. Basically the trustee is saying that considering Parma's financial situation, they ought to make the most out of the Gilardino deal. But the most they can do now is 24 million euros. No one else has offered more than that.

Unless Moratti is secretly preparing his much heralded "regalo" to the cousins...

Well Galliani has given Parma an ultimatum : he wants an answer by tomorrow or we'll go look elsewhere. Though Galliani's ultimatums are a bit like Moggi's assurances.

Anything but that...there is a reason Gilardino keeps insisting on Milan: they are the only team (as you mentioned) that put up a serious offer for him and lets be honest between Milan and Inter a player does not have to look back very far to see that...
