I'm just wondering if anyone here follows the National Football League.

You know, the "other" football.

After All, the Bible states "one cannot live on one type of football alone"

[waiting for gray to respond to this post with a bible lecture]

I'm a San Francisco 49ers fan.

Just asking, that's all.

Pah! Rugby with padding. A dweeb's sport. ;)

Only kidding, but the sum total of my exposure to American football is "Any Given Sunday" with Al Pachino.

Trust me, if a 6 foot 4 inch, 245 lb defensive player who can run a 4.6 second 40 yard dash was running after you, the LAST thing that you would think is that it's a dweeb sport ;)

btw, who won the the wc?

It's pretty sad though, when a University of Michigan College Football game can attract 106,000 spectators, or roughly what it would take 3 Juve games at the Alpi to achieve.

John Hayes is 6' 8" and 266 lbs. And he ain't wearin' no poofter's padding.

Mikhail, the average Offensive Lineman in the NFL is 6'5 315 lbs, and run a lot faster than you or I.

Regardless, this isn't an argument about Rugby vs. Football, this thread is for people who ACTUALLY like the sport.

I know. If you look at my first post, I was kidding when I dismissed it.

I'll never genuinely pass judgement on something I haven't watched.

And I'll now leave this thread to its own devices. :) Have fun.

The problem with that though, is I'm afraid you may be the only person who will post on this thread:D

Kewl... finally a NFL thread. I was actually thinking of doing one myself.

All though I hate the name, yeah you stole it! ;) It's still a kick-ass sport. I watch it every sunday night.

My favorite team is the Titans, and oh boy did the Super Bowl suck a couple of years ago, when they were inches from winning the game... Good game though...

My favorite player is of course the almighty Morten Andersen - most scoring player in the NFL and he's danish! :D

landon Donavan, who plays for the US national team and was voted as the MLS player of the year, kicked a 65 yard field goal last week, just for the hell of it.

The titans are good again this year, but it looks like Eddie George has lost a step. If they can't run the ball, McNair is going to get killed back there.

Nah... don't worry about Steve. That guy can get out of anything. His passing game is getting better and better, and if he can't pass it - he'll rush the ball himself ;) McNair is superman! :D

BTW, what do you think of Justin McCareins? I haven't seen much of him or the Titans for that matter (stupid TV never shows my team :totti: ) But I've been hearing some good things...

he's actually pretty good. Him and drew bennett complement Derrick mason really well at the WR position.
