the most wanted talent brazil has to offer won' come in our back yard..that's for sure. Ridiculous sums of money will be throw away..there are enough players for everyone, you just need good scouters and ucl

True, plus as good as he is, we can't blow all that money on someone who might not hit the ground running and get us a CL spot. If we were the Juve for 6 years ago we'd be dumb not to compete for his signature though.

that's why we're mediocre and wc players say 'check' when they see our name. and we're gonna be like that for at least 2 more years. I would like to at least try for hazard..who knows :p

or, let him go to Real or Chelsea for 40-45 mil and give it a couple of years of him not adapting to those teams - for which there is a very high chance. Then, when Neymar is 21 yo or so, get him at half price, if that :) ... aka known as the Galliani approach to Brazilian talent he cannot get straight out of Brazil :D
If he goes to Real even better - Neymar would have a Spanish pass by the time he leaves Spain :D

you got pato and kaka straight from brazil right ? :p
:agree: ... but you can't get them all and the prices these days Brazilian clubs are asking for relatively unproven players are much higher than they used to be just 2-3 years ago, which is where the likes of Real, Chelski, and City come in - they are Galliani's "mules" :D

true...big prices, but not all of them :p
true but considering Milan got Kaka, when he was just as well know as say Ganso is now, for 8 mil and Pato for 20 mil or so, I'd say Brazilian clubs are catching up :).

it also has to do with Brazilian clubs getting richer over the past several years and that helps them hold out for high pay off should they sell their most coveted players, Santos for example is one of the most stable financially clubs over there hence the ridiculous price-tags on Ganso and Neymar.

It is still possible to get such players at decent prices but the team they play for would have to be in a financial difficulty so that they need to sell, which of course lowers the price significantly - for example, Hernanes, who went to Lazio for 12 mil or so, when Sao Paolo wanted 30 just a year, year and half earlier even went as far as mocking Milan for not being able to afford him.
