Was Pepe owning him each time otherwise I don't see what that has to do with him?
We've seen Pepe play fullback. He has made impact plays. I've listed them. I've listed the times he's stopped Pato 1 on 1, stole the ball from Inzaghi at the corner flag. Was the only one to rush Ibra as he shot. Made a sliding tackle at midfield from behind the forward. Made some clearances inside the box.

This is all in his first match at fullback, on his left side, against Milan!

And Grygera is "miles better" defensively than Pepe? Someone said that. Grygera has a youtube compilation of his blunders.

Grygera is so much better defensively than Pepe at fullback that we can't even debate the topic?

And this is without even talking about the offensive aspect of football in which fullbacks are integral to a team's attack.

Pepe was the one who lost the aerial battle against Ibra and lead to the goal for Milan? Although that was more like the CB's fault, I would say a decent Fullback would have done better in covering the position.

I can say he conceded one goal in his half game as a fullback, the rate is higher than the average of Juve for this season. :shifty:

You mean he lost an aerial battle to Ibra even though he had to shift over from his original man and Antonini had 5 minutes to measure up a cross? Grygera would have won it right?

YES, according to your logic of "Pepe is a better Fullback because he didn't make those mistakes".

I don't know actually, maybe. But that goal actually showed how weak Pepe was in the air and this could be one of the many weaknesses that he will show as a fullback because of the lack of experience and positional sense.

No you can't. Pepe has not played in that position for a prolonged period of time whereas Grygera has. A "good" match does not automatically makes him the best RB, not even close.

If the debate you're proposing was to take place, it would be at least sensible to wait and see how Pepe performs as a fullback during at least a whole season. Calling him the best RB out of the two because he was decent against Milan is just laughable.
