you need competition for growth Josh.. nobody says you can't play amature football with a bunch of your friends!

The most famous teams are the competative teams because they are the best of the best and they get payed to do what they do. you need Money to pay them and that money comes from fans who watch them. so why not use that money to grow. you already know all of this Josh...

you could propose a socialist approach where there's no competition between teams and all players are payed the same. Now, teams who play well won't be rewarded and it'll be easy to for players to give-in because there'll be no consencouenses for losses, thus reducing the competition on the field, and thus reducing the quality of the games.

It is indeed about competition on ALL fronts. leave the "having fun" part to the players themselves as they walk on the field and for people like you and i who play in local amature leagues.

majed for a professional footballer it isnt fun. dont forget that for every scudetto winner there are another 18 that arent. 4 of them are relegated. doesnt sound like much fun.

i dunno- i just kinda wish that money didnt have to be such an integral part of it

I'm sure they enjoy themselves to some extent, especially those with a passion for the game. I'm pretty sure most if not all footballers would rather play football than sit on the bench and get paid

This is most likely what the Jersey will look like, we got the image from a dutch site (I think). The image was horrible so I took it into photoshop to make it look a little better. But I am almost positive this is the new jersey.

It's not nice at all, the fact is - it's just TOO retro..the only way it can be saved is with a nice sleeve design in the L/S version and attractive name and numbering.
