The most common big one, Huntsman, is pretty harmless, not poisonous. Apparently if it bites it will hurt a fair bit but it's noit poisonous so it won't kill you. But yeah the red back one is very poisonous.

The worst would be seeing a brown snake

But most of these little, highly venomous and dangerous critters aren't really found in the big cities, more in the outback.

I was working in a call centre in Melbourne and went outside the front door to have a smoke one day. Had a look up towards the light fixture as there was quite a few webs surrounding it and there was a family of the buggers about two feet above my head. I ran inside like a little girl fairly promptly

Daddy long legs, seen hundreds of those motherfuckers inside before. They have the most poisonous venom of any spider I believe but their fangs are too small to puncture skin
