Sometimes even management is not enough though. I'll give you an example. I work in the shithole known as Rite Aid. They pay supervisors 75 cents more than when you were promoted. So if I were to get promoted now at $8.50 an hour after two years, I would be getting paid $9.25 an hour to run the entire store. I think the co-managers make maybe like $30,000, that's enough to MAYBE struggle on your own in most places in Brooklyn.
In the end I'd much rather force Rite Aid to pay people more money, because as it stands now the company just pays half a livable wage and then the rest is paid for by your tax dollars.
