I havent been to the states in 3 years.....planning on going to NYC for a week....i gots a buddy there whose gots a flat but no loot.....how much do u think i should take with me (for me and him) I like the dolce vita so let me know how much i need and what to there....thanks
If you want to have a decent night out (no hip-hop crap), and see a decent DJ, expect to spend $100 per person per night. ($40 - $50 to get in, the rest on drinks). VIP table will cost you between $200 and $400, depending on the DJ. Includes a bottle of vodka per 3-4 people. Places to go: Spirit, Club Crobar, Roxy if there is a performance (usually a gay club).

Restaurants: if you're in Manhattan and want to dine out- expect a $50 per person bill. You will find places cheaper but they are really crappy. If you're in Queens/Brooklyn/NJ- you'll be paying much less.

New York is by far the best city I have ever been to, but then again I have not really been to many cities in this world.

Hopefully it will be my future home, along with Fabiana's. ;)

If you are moving to New York City I will detest you for the rest of my life, or at least until I live there or travel there again. ;) :D

So whats the deal yo...in which borough and housing style will you be calling your home, Elnur?

Oh, and I would call it more than a mere possibility. ;)

What parameters are you using to define best? The place is bleeding cold!

I will be living with my brother and one other guy. I don't even know where yet. Midtown probably.

And you will have a place to stay

Midtown or Uptown Manhattan would be my number one choice for a future home, no question. Comparing that to places I usually frequent...State College, Rockville, DC, and Detroit, plus hickland Pennsylvania...I doubt I would ever die of boredom in the Big Apple. Have an apartment somewhere around 55th and 7th, close to pretty much everything, would be fvcking awesome.

And if you're serious about that offer I dont think I will be able to resist. :D That other Russian wannabe Burke probably wouldnt either.
