I do hope he gets a look in bcuz Mirante and Bonnefoi were here for so long and they did'nt.
IMO considering Gigi's age n form he needs an older deputy whose sharpness n form will not be blunted by lack of playing time

P.S. this is my 200th post

Serie C Verona are set to take action to prevent Juventus completing the signature of Australian goalkeeper Jess Vanstrattan.

The 25-year-old was present at the Bianconeri’s meeting at Vinovo on Wednesday and is set to become the Old Lady’s first ever Australian player, but newly-relegated Verona are questioning the legality of the move.

Vanstrattan was under contract with the Scaligeri until 2008, but ended his spell at the club citing personal reasons and returned home in June.

However, just weeks later he returned to Italy to meet up with the Juventus squad and it has been reported that a deal may have been done while he was still owned by the Mastini.

Verona have announced that they are seeking guidance from the Lega Calcio regarding their chances of mounting a legal challenge.

That has to be a record for shortest duration as a Juventus player.

I wonder why Verona fought so hard for this guy... didn't seem to be all that special.

I guess the next question is, what are the options? Stick with just Belardi and Novembre, or is there another option out there?

Juve In Hot Water Over 'Illegal’ Player

The Lega Calcio has cancelled Juventus’ contract with Australian goalkeeper Jess Vanstrattan after deeming that the Bianconeri had made an illegal approach for the player.

The 25-year-old arrived in Turin with little fanfare after signing a deal with the club on July 12th 2007, but his previous club outfit Verona raised a huff and the Lega Calcio have now reacted.

The newly-relegated Serie C side claim that they were duped into rescinding Vanstrattan’s contract in order to let him return to Australia for personal reasons, only to find out barely a month later that he was back in Italy fresh off signing a contract with Juventus.

To make matters worse, there is reason to believe that Juve and Vanstrattan came to terms while he was still a Verona player, according to Italian publication La Stampa.

Juventus have so far refused to make any comment on the matter, but it is certainly more unwelcome publicity ahead of their first season back in the Serie A.

theres sumthing iffy going on with verona i mean first it was its manager who left under controversial circumstances and now this
For once make sense, will you. In everything you see a conspiracy. Fact of the matter is we were never supposed to sign Vanstrattan. Hellas Verona and the FIGC are absolutely right.

Vanstrattan claimed to be depressed so he could leave Hellas. Hellas let him go, on condition he does not join another Italian team. Vanstratten joins Juventus. Juventus are an Italian team.

    You get the point?

its called thinking outside the box, should try it some day, you might actually wake up to things
I think people normally think of something usefull and realistic, when they talk about "thinking outside the box". Most of the stuff you say are just BS.

Great job, management. Sign a player who is restricted to join us. That'll clear our name faster than you can say Van Strattan.

Is there any proof that there was contact between Juve and the Player during the time van stratten was still at hellas? If so would be nice if they showed or acknowledged that. Dont know the situation quite right to agree or disagree with the decision yet.

This is a great opportunity nevertheless to get fernando muslera.
