I'm once again broadcasting from Ice Station Zebra. So this will be short.

This semester I am treading into the world of African geography. This is partly do to a more than mild interest in the culture, climate and politics of the continent. And partly for another reason.

Anyway the professor has once again assigned to do a term paper on Africa with some regard to geography. Apparently the sky and map of Africa is the limit.
Your suggestions are appreciated.

It's pretty open. I mean I have to narrow some things down later. But like any off the top of your head ideas would be great. That's all this is at the moment... a brainstorm.

How about the African content, the origins of Pangea, and why everything from humans to coffee came first out of Ethiopia.

Or how about why Lagos is often considered a "model" city for the world's megacity future...

And, as a related point, why Chxta thinks Lagos is a festering, bleeding anus on the face of the earth. :D

Could do a paper on how the Intertropical Convergence Zone, ITCZ, affects climate anomalies over Central Africa and the Sahel.
