Yes but he'll need money to pay those dudes.

Could you make a poll to see who would be willing to pay the consultants to conduct a survey to see who would pay for the site?
Yes but as I said, it's still an errand on a paid forum and thus it has to be paid.

Good point there. It's one of those features we will have to pay for now. I think it would be easiest to just put it in your sig, that way we would get a clear picture. I'll start.

I think I have a better idea, how about starting a free forum? Like any other forum on the internet.

$1 per poll, is that a fair price? How much will the arcade cost us? And the vBookie, will it be for real? What about the Prediction League? Will Chester get paid? Will I have to pay him? What if he wants luncheon? Will my annual fee rise if Chester wants a sandwhich while he compiles scores?

Twenty Euros per year?

I'd take that.
I've been on this forum for about 6 years. I met a lot of great people here, and it's been a part of my life and taken up a good chunk of my time. There have been several major changes over the years, including the previous change of ownership to Martin, and I worried that the site would fall apart. If anything though, it's gotten better and more stable.

I think we shouldn't worry too much. B's a good guy and I trust that he's not doing this just to scam some money off us. I understand that some people are students/don't work, but 20 euro is really not that much if you think about it, and I'd be happy to pay it to keep this site going.
Well, I will pay the 20 euros.
Ask for it one more time and you'll have it. Just one more time.

Btw, I'm bit too tired to understand what exactly is going on here, but If Byrone or any other owner needs cash to keep this place up I'm welling to help financially and want nothing back in return.
First things first: thankyou Byrone.

In principle, I don't like the idea of paying to post.

In practice, I'll pay, providing enough of the good guys are going to hang around.

$20 is nothing, considering the number of hours of entertainment this place provides.
it's one payment of 20 bucks, not per year...personally, I don't think it is that much to ask...a lot of us here are around for a considerable amount of time, and it's not that stiff a sum...I've tried other footy forums and they are not nearly as interesting or as fun as Juventuz.
I'm paying the 20 dollars and i'm also adding more as a personal donation. You guys aren't aware of the problem. It really comes down to this - the forum stops existing vs 20 dollars paid by each members.
:lol2:

People will pay, it's not the end.

Youporn you mean.
Wow, this is a big surprise. Just got on here.

In the grand scheme of things, $20 or euro or what have you is not a lot. I've wasted my money on a lot of crap and this is one thing I'd pay a pretty small amount of money to keep going.
Byrone is trust worthy. I'll pay for a year, see if the forum is even close to as good as it is now. If it doesn't have the vibe that makes this forum what it is anymore, I'll have to lash on you all.
This is pretty sad though, the forum may lose a lot of valuable members.
9 people are paying so far. It's going to be one hell of a forum.

I can't but help feeling cheated here fellows. I don't think that's the correct mentality for a Juventus fan forum to display.

if nobody can tell how much does it cost to run a forum, could someone at least tell what do the owner need to pay for?

is there something else beside server and vBulletin license?

It's mostly interest form missed payments by the former owner, but how is that the fault of the user? And why should we be forced to partake in the socialist practice of paying dues?
