It looks like the kind of logo you see on 500 euro shirts worn by assholes in overpriced clubs. We are in many ways a premium brand so I suppose that fits, and for me some of the branded gear posted in this thread looks good but what the hell has it got to do with football or our philosophy? The current crest is a traditional football badge to go with a traditional football powerhouse club.

I just hope that the swanky new style doesn't start to reflect on the pitch. I want to see excellence through hard work.
@Gagi please make one of your special threads about this :D

Remember how we used to make fun of mes que un club? Now juventus is a way of life :howler:
I'd be surprised if more people didn't try to apply the Juve philosophy into their everyday life. Do you not? At all?

Are people seriously freaking out because of a logo?:rofl::rofl:

To voice your detest towards it is completely understandable, but correlating it with losing our 'history?' Give me a fucking break.

We were all worried that we could never catch up with Bayern, Barca, Real and BPL teams in revenue. One of the areas we lag far behind in is merchandising revenue. All this brand marketing or "selling out" may be a necessary evil in today's football.

I don't understand why we throw away 100 years of brand awareness and resources allocated to our logo. We've changed it over the years, of course, but there have always been semblances. To reach that level costs A LOT of time and money. There's an intangible value in it that has developed and grown for 100 years. I don't like the new logo, but even that is sort of beside the point. Moving forward, reaching same level of value, authenticity, awareness, etcetera, in the logo will take many - many - many years and investments. Time and money that could be made and invested elsewhere. I can't see why we would throw it away unless we had just made something horrendous and were trying to reposition ourselves as something new and different in comparison to whatever bad we were before. But that is not case, so I really don't understand why we're trying to reposition. Stating that there's a lot of years put into marketing research without working with the real stakeholders is just very poor from a marketing management perspective. Without knowing the details, if I was the director and the marketing manager came and explained how this had come about. S/he would have been fired for draining resources for nothing for such a long time.

Well that's what I'm saying... it's business, and it's necessary. But I understand why us fans don't like it. We're following a football team, not a business.
Yet we want the football team to be able to hold on to the best players and sign the best players available. Not to mention win the Serie A, Coppa and even the CL. This football team will only accomplish the aforementioned things if the business behind it is succesful.

As long as we have the same owners I'm happy. This family has build all our traditions and history, still people somehow think they don't have the clubs best intrests in mind when making decisions. It's not like some random Chinese has just bought our club and is trying to destroy all our traditions.

My first impression with the new logo was that it is horrible.

I understand the need of expanding our brand and the management wants to position Juve as a premium brand. The new logo looks like an expensive fashion brand.

However I think something is off with the new logo. As when someone is trying too hard to be cool and doesn't quite pull it off.

I had liked more a logo that gives an Italian design vibe and substance. This looks what an advertising agency in Qatar would come up with.

It's hilarious to read the comments from the peasants who don't understand what club is trying to do with introducing a new logo.

It's the same as the detractors of other great companies/organizations that realized that establishing a brand is far more visionary and fruitful.

For some of you it may take some time to adjust to the new emblem but irregardless the club should be applauded for realizing, executing a greater strategy for a more sustainable, successful future for Juventus. For those who are adamant and plan to remain so - you're most likely lost cases far before this change ever was conceived so no point in wasting time trying to teach a cow how to read when it only cares about grazing and shitting.

Like your granny who wants to buy you a really hip new shirt as birthday present.
She asks you if you like it or not, and you are like:

    I LOVE IT!...I'm gonna wear it...At home...Maybe...Well, we'll see.
