Don't know why there are no rumours about Zhirkov. He and Lahm have been by far the best lef-backs of Euro. Since Lahm has renewed his contract, we should go for Zhirkov. His work rate and skills are great. But I guess Ranieri is okay with Molinaro and De Ceglie!

i think ranieri like molinaro, don't kno why. that's why i think we won't get a new LB. i just hope ranieri gives de ceglie a chance to show ranieri how a good LB plays.

Athirson > Paramatti
Athirson > Paramatti > Molinaro.
All correct really, especially the last one.

True, this forum doesnt rate Etoo, Ronaldinho, Deco, Xavi and now Abidal..i've heard enough to know better than to take peoples opinions on Barca players seriously anymore.
Even morons said Iniesta is overrated.

Lahm was terrible defensively (cf. Torres goal in the final to name one in God knows how many errors), his only plus point was a goal against the Turks

Lahm was terrible at the Euros. Couldn't defend to save his life (cf. Torres' goal in the final to name one of God knows how many errors) His only significance was a goal against the Turks. Zhirkov looked good but then Lahm looked good at the World Cup 2 years ago and was totally different in 2008. Chielinni could slot in at left back and Melberg and Andrade could play in the centre maybe??

Absolutely not. We NEED Chiellini in the center of the defense. There is no way Mellberg or Andrade (at his age) could totally shut down Ibrahimovic and Cruz singlehandedly like Chiellini did this past season. He's just too strong and too reliable to not play in the center. We'd be wasting him. Chiellini, while he can play left-back well, doesn't add much going forward as he's just too awkward with the ball at his feet.

Just keep him at centerback and either find a new left-back or play De Ceglie.

Andrade is not that old dude he turned 30 a few months ago. And he is still pretty fast (or at least he was last season)

but I would not move Chiellini to the left. He should partner Andrade in the center.

Grosso, simple reason - he is Italian. Juve won't sign Zhirkov to waste their foreign player allowance on LB, he is not that good, and there are better (proven) players than tris russian. Abidal would be my second choice, though i don't think Barca would let him go.

Am i the only one here that sais that Molinaro isn't so bad????

ok he is not something great but he is very explosive and can do a good work delivering the ball to the midfield...

If we were to buy a LB, i dont want Grosso...

Ok, he is good, and in Euro he played well, but he is 28 and we are going to make something new here...

i would prefer someone like Drenthe...

he is young, he has some expirience and he can cross the ball realy well...
