That's pretty much a given. I don't really rate Grosso at all defensively.
I would say he is average defensively, with a good CB pair and a solid DM, there's not much to worry about. But offensively, he's a beast, IMO. And because we have Momo and Giorgio to cover him at the back, and Trez, Amauri and IQ to make use of his crosses, I think he would be a good addition.

Momo and Giorgio isnt enough for the likes of Man U, Real, Arsenal, Barca..they would rip us torn apart if we were to only depend on those two defensively. Grosso would be an average addition to the squad not a top notch but certainly better than what we have right now...but knowing how Lyon deals in transfer market i guess its at least would be valued at 10 Million pounds.

Momo and Giorgio IMO are good enough for ManU, Real, etc. but I agree, with Grosso, LB is still a liability that could be exposed. I agree he's not the best LB in the world, but I still think he would be a solid improvement on what we have now.

We aren't getting a left back so this talk is pretty much useless anyway.

Molinaro and De Ceglie will fight it out and we can only hope that the LB position wouldn't be the weakest spot in our team.

I don't believe we will have a surprise signing. Infact, I think we will bring a shitty midfielder as well since Alonso is further and further away. BTW, I really think Stankovic is already ours.

Voted for Grosso after his impressive performances at Euro 2008.
LB is one departement we don't need a young up and coming player for, we have De Ceglie to play back up and to eventually replace him.

Exactly.

The only reason why people think Abidal is a bad player is because he's French and plays for Barcelona. Same old crap again.
ل
True, this forum doesnt rate Etoo, Ronaldinho, Deco, Xavi and now Abidal..i've heard enough to know better than to take peoples opinions on Barca players seriously anymore.

In that case I've never seen him "on form" and I've seen a lot of Bracelona's matches in the last couple of years.
Up until January he was arguably Barca's best defender, he was almost unplayable at times, but from then on he has been in the worst form of his career possibly.

Abidal is shambolic going forward though. And no,im not saying this because he plays for Barcelona or because he's French. His defensive game is great, but his attacking game could definatley use improvement.

He's just ok offensively..shambolic is taking it too far.but yes it could use improving

Abidal >>>>> Grosso
no doubt at all about that.
