I don't like Grosso whatsoever, Burke is correct, all that player ever did was pull on shirts. He's overrated just because he won a World Cup.

Abidal is the best player on the list but he's not attainable, so I'll have to go for Wayne Bridge as he's pretty good and proven at various levels of the game.

And half of those players on that list aren't even friggin' left-backs.

You just had to tempt me by putting Zhirkov there, voted for him. If he wasnt, would easily chosen a safe choice in Grosso. As Mark said, older solid player who can do the job for a short while, and then De Ceglie can step in.

He's better than Molinaro and all those guys can play at LB. If you want a natural left back then you'll be stuck with Zauri. For me a good LB should know how to attack and he can learn how to defend with a good system. When a guy as offensive talent he's always put in a more forward role in his career but that doesn't mean he can't play at the back.

Of course, Abidal is everyone's pick but if we are to be realistic we might have to go with the clumsy but atleast somewhat useful Grosso.

Abidal isn t an option for us, though he would be the best option quality wise, he could be really expensive and end De Ceglie's future.
I believe that Grosso has a lot to give in a team like Juve, we are very good at upgrading defenders and dont forget that Zambro was looking horrible away from us,
he is an attainable choice, if the price is the right one, he is the safest choice,
He has a lot of experience, he is Italian, he has been thought the style of defending an Italian team has, he would adapt immediately!
And he is at the right age to make room for De Ceglie soon enough and become his mentor and his sub eventually...

You're saying he didn't play good at the Euro08?
if so,sorry dude but he was just GREAT for Italy, along with Chiellini they were doing there great job for Italy at the back+his attacks always were good,he almost scored vs France...i mean if Excellent WC and Great Euro not enough, than what else...?
he was fine at Palermo(the times i have seen him play),he didn't play much at Inter, and from what i heared about his Lyon games he was also very good there(i didn't see, someone here said it)...

You're not judging him right...it's not only the WC.

Are we even linked with any LBs?

I thought it had been said that we wouldn't be signing one.

    Anyway, I'd go for Grosso.

    Hmm...NO!

It's obvious you just don't like him,no other reasons to say he played crap or something,if you watched Azzurri games, then you must seen that he was good.
you can check out his rating he got from all the media for his perfomances.
In Italy they all praised him together with Gigi and Chiellini who were the only guys doing great job,and played good.

and i'm not fan of him or something, just facts.
and have you seen him in Palermo?Lyon?...you judging by what?!

Sorry, but I can't agree. Grosso committed at least 5 fouls that were not called merely by pulling another player's shirt, two of which were in the box. He also tripped someone in the box in the same game, which I think was the Spain match. He was utterly atrocious at the back and was skinned several times; only thing he does well is fool bad referees into thinking he's playing by the books.

Sure, Grosso is great going forward, but I would rather have somebody who is secure at the back. Grosso is not secure at the back. Remember, Cannavaro isn't in the team to save his ass.
