This is gonna suck. This is gonna be worse than Berbatov saga. At first no one wanted him. By the time we accepted the idea he went somewhere else.

I see similar path. At first all wanted Pep, when Pep didnt happen, Sarri meltdown started, I expect in coming days Chelsea will not let him go.

Lets get the ex Manchester guy who arrived from Everton to replace fergie I hope he aint tied.

Allegri is the best tactician, but if he wanted to sell all the players that were rumored, I’m glad he’s gone. He’s also very cautious which works in the league but not in Europe. And for the past two seasons we’ve had no play style whatsoever, no identity. It was time for him to go and Sarri is by no means a bad replacement in my opinion. The only thing I would’ve liked to see is allegri with a better midfield, but even then he would’ve started de sciglio and Mandzukic over our more talented players.
Yes we've been terrible in Europe under Allegri. You are literally only saying good things about Sarri and only bad things about Allegri. Seems balanced.

If the objective is to conquer Europe via CL then I'm not sure Sarri would be the hire to achieve that. Winning EL doesn't really move the needle nor qualify the credentials.
Allegri didn't win CL with Ronaldo
Pep not winning CL after spending 700m
Baca can't win CL despite of having Messi
And.....

It's not a guaranty that you could win CL with some specific coaches. CL is more about Luck and form than anything else.

Just like what he did without Higuain his best goalscorer, Milik and Hysel.
He had Milik last season, barely used him. Polak scored 17 goals for Carlo this season. He had Hysaj start 35 league games last season. We scored more goals the season Higuain was at Napoli, and they scored more goals when he left, hardly a huge loss.

Besides, the midfield is the crucial part of the team for sarreeball, you cant compare the loss of a poacher (which made them more effective team) to the loss of 2 mids that carried the team previous years

Great stat. I have another one.

Emery UEL winner 2016, out in the UCL round of 16 against Barcelona in 2017 (remontada)
Mourinho UEL winner 2017, out in the UCL Round of 16 against Sevilla in 2018
Simeone UEL winner 2018, out in the UCL Round of 16 against Juve in 2019 (remontada part 2)
Sarri hater is your new nickname lol

He lost both of them the season Higuain joined us and still manged his team very well.
He lost by far his best player in Higuain and still managed to compete in the league.

And i believe he would have worked out the absence of Hamsik and Jorginho. It's not like they are some world beaters. It was more about his system than the players.

Whoever added to the system, did his job perfectly, evsn if they weren't that much good. . That is the strong point of Sarri's system.

Now imagine that system with players we have. I'm sure we wouldn't be disappointed.

He was in a group with Liverpool and PSG, and needed only a goal to proceed. Hes not a league coach, lost Hamsik and Jorginho and finished 2nd again (12 pts behind last seasons Napoli admittedly, but 1. Sarri is a lesgue coach and 2. They went all in last season). Id still take a CL specialist that wont bottle the league over a league specialist
Who’s to say Sarri is a league specialist? Ancelotti was struggling with Bayern in Europe before sacking as well. Sarri only lost to Madrid in KO rounds who eventually lost, and got eliminated in the UCL groups one season where their main focus was the league (which I admit was a mistake but they could’ve never coped with more than a competition with the depth they had) he’s only had two chances at the UCL, don’t cut him short because of that.

Not disagreeing

But that doesn't qualify Joe Camel as the best man for this job despite him being the top candidate

Isn't our main goal to win the CL next? If Sarri doesn't improve our chances in that competition, what's the point of getting him?

I just stated allegri is the best Italian tactician, maybe the best in the world. And I said we haven’t been playing so well These last TWO SEASONS. Not my fault you want to pick and choose what you read. I rate allegri really highly actually, and even stated I wanted to see what he could do with a better midfield, but even then, it might’ve been time for a change. Some coaches do better with certain squads and clubs, but aren’t necessarily better overall coach.

I wonder what excuses he we will start spitting once we start slipping in the league

This team plays ahead of us
Or we play ahead of others
Referee helps this or that
But my favourite will be about the budget

CL is our every year objective. But no one can guarantees we would win CL with even Pep.

And there are things that we fans don't know. Mabe the situation was beyond repairing, and they had to part ways with Max. And I'm sure they rate attractive football, that's why they are hiring Sarri.
