I read something from Momblano, he was convinced that Agnelli doesn't have a beef with Conte and the latter gets along with everyone in the management. It's simply that Agnelli isn't convinced Conte is the right man to succeed Allegri

Out of the available options, I would take Conte in a heartbeat.
My interpretation of Agnelli is that he's very forward thinking. I think Conte gives him a sense of moving backwards. I think he cares mostly about the UCL and from Conte to Allegri, our chances seemed to increase, so it's a step back for him if we return to Conte.

But Agnelli might also be an intellectually honest paladin and prefers a more modern football. For example, I would believe that Pep is his dream. That's just the impression I get from Agnelli.

(There are other issues with Conte from Agnelli's perspective, namely his unpredictability and instability).

Conte's feud back then was with Agnelli or with Marotta?
He didnt have a feud, he simply requested young fresh blood as reinforcements that would allow him to start a new cycle because he felt the current one was over (until Allegri prove otherwise by reaching CL final). He wanted to leave at the end of the season (tears of his wife as he walked towards the trophy at the scudetto ceremony) but got convinced to stay, but when we failed getting players he wanted (iturbe was the hot name at that time, young winger that would allow us to transition to 433), he quit days before the preseason. I cant tell you for sure but i think Agnelli holds a grudge for that still

The major drawback with Conte is that he isn't someone that makes compromises, essentially he's not a team player and everything needs to go his way.

Agnelli said it yesterday, Juventus are forward thinkers in regards to the future. I'm getting the impression Pep might not be as impossible as it seems, there's smoke and crazier things have happened.
