Vidic is undoubtly a great player, but we have too many CB and if we're going back to a four man backline next season (speculating), we have to clear out some meat. Furthermore, adding another CB would upset not only the balance but the spirit (not like the indian spirit, but the team spirit).

The Lucio deal was a good signing. He came, trolled Inter by saying we had 30 scudetti and then left.

If he joins, then it is clear conte wants to stick with 3 CB, so we'll have vidic, caceres and ogbonna as back up to Chiellini Bonucci and Barzagli....unless caceres and ogbonna are wanting out to play regular football.

I must admit though, I would like to see caceres and ogbonna get more playing time. Barzagli wont be around forever, we should be implementing these guys in that defence more often.
