Hi everyone. I need some help for my little school project. I'm doing some extra work to get a grade in English. Here it comes:

In this project you work with a country where English is a native or an official language.

Facts to include in your presentation:
• Geography (position, nature, wild life)
• History (don’t make it too long and complicated)
• People (number, ethnic groups, religion, languages)
• The ruling of the country (kingdom, republic, parliament, political parties,
Constitution etc.)
• Culture (traditions, art, music etc.)
• Entertainment (sports, films, stars etc.)

Procedure
• Collect facts. You will have to search for facts independently. Use libraries, the Internet, encyclopaedias etc. You can choose to use sources in English, or to use sources in Swedish and translate into English.

• Structure your facts. Write down everything of interest and decide what facts to include in your presentation. Here you can for example use a mind-map.

English speaking countries

•The United Kingdom
•New Zealand
•Kenya
•Nigeria
•Malaysia
•Singapore
•Hong Kong
•The West Indies (The Bahamas)
•Ireland
•USA
•Canada
•India
•Sri Lanka
•Jamaica
•Malta
•South Africa

-------------------------------------------------

Okay. So I need some help with my country. I choosed the UK. Is there anyone who can help me find a website where I can find facts about: history, geography, sports, celebrities, the ruling of the country etc.?

I've already noticed a huge misstake. Extra work. Never take extra work. If you cant get a good gread doing the minimum you have to then you dont deserve it.

Anyways, just go to www.wikipedia.org and search for united kingdom. I have loads of these "projects" every month, you're taking it way too seriously. It's a piece of cake.

Isn't English one of the official langauges in HK since they were a British colony?
    Yes.

But most HK people don't speak English as their first language.

100% not native English speaking city.

:) I can try. I will search for Botswana.
I think that it will be easier for you to choose USA,because of the history facts...among all of those countries you named ,USA got the the simpliest history facts with a lot of todays interesting facts.

Anyway ,if you ever need some medicine topic, for perhaps any biological extrawork, just notice me and I'll help U (ofcourse if you have biology at school).

    You're right.

History? The US ain't got no history, what 300-400 years. That's like a week and half, that aint history.
