I too have been away from the phone/pda wold. My cell phone doesn't even have bluetooth or a camera. (I thinks it's about 3 years old). Also, my PDA was stolen months ago.

So, I've been looking around for PDAs and phones. I've narrowed it down to two. My requirement for both is to come with at least a 2mp camera, and I'd rather have a stylus(touch screen)-type pda, not a smartphone.


If I go for a regular phone, then it will be the slim and elegant Benq-Siemens EF81. If I go fot the pda, which is what you are lookking for, then I'd recommend waiting for the Sony-Ericsson 990i which looks great, isn't too big, and meets your (and my) above requirements.

M600+ did not hit the KSA market yet but it is due very soon.
But I have just bought a PDA (just today I am now setting it up).
I went for the O2 xda Atom. Check it out. You might like it. If you are not interested in a PDA with a keyboard nor 3G this might be your best choice.
It is small, 416 MHZ, 128 MB ROM and 64 MB RAM. Mini SD card slot, 2mega cam with flash a very smart touch screen which is very notable when using the transcriber, has EDGE (where as the ETEN M600+ has only GPRS), IR, Bluetooth, WiFi. Weighs 140g.
If this is not impressive enough and for an example you need more ROM for some reason then go for the new Atom EXEC which should be launched in august it is basically a regular Atom with 520MHZ processor and 190 MB ROM + grey color rather than White or Black.
I can give you a feedback about the Atom in the near future when I actually start to use it.

Sweeeet. A white phone/pda. It has to be plain white or gray. No colors or black for me. Too bad it's windows though! :groan:

I have the Treo 650, which has the Palm OS. It's kind of a de facto standard around where I work, etc. The equipment is decent... just that the audio quality (without a mic/earpiece) is a touch weak and a bit depends on your carrier (which is true with any phone, really).

I'm gettin this phone on Saturday. I found a perfect condition refurbished Treo 650 ( I work for radioshack ). I'll get it for like $200 with a new 2-year agreement

too bad the Spring Treo 700 doesn't come with windows though, I would have gotten that instead :depressed

forget palm and windows. if you really want something nice, its got to be a nokia with symbian. which is what i have my eyes on as soon as i find it reasonable enough to change my phone seeing as how i just got a new one.

ZAF, I bought the O2 xda Atom (White)... wasn't impressed as I thought i would be, so I returned it the next day. Cool, but not for me.

The phone i'm still waiting for and feeling positive about is the Sony-Ericsson 990i. The only thing that will stop me from getting it is if Apple finally release their phone. Mark my words, it will be the best looking phone on earth and it's going to casue a big fuss..
