    Charles - probably the most complete player in history... awsome striker and stunning defender... tagged with a gentle but huge guy that was never ever even booked.
    :eek::eek::eek: Never ever booked!

    I remember seeing John Charles getting a standing ovation from the Delli Alpi fans in our match against Atlanta two years ago. Such sight.:touched:

    By the way, from the pics. of Siviori playing he looked quite a fat bloke.
    But I also heard he had bad temper.:D I also heard that he was a natural instinctive finisher.

    Kovacevic? Remarkable...

    yes, i always thought that at that time kova was a better striker than inzaghi. he had a great goalscoring record, scoring everytime he got on the pitch from the bench. he saved our asses many times and i liked him for that:touched:

    it's a shame he had to leave, but i still follow him at sociedad and he's doing well this year.

    One, I have never doubted Buffon's abilities nor has he ever been one of my most disliked players. I simply believe that it was a great mistake that was made in purchasing him and that he does not deserve the praise and adoration that he gets. However, he is a fine keeper, and the only keeper that most Juve fans would tolerate. As for "none", I have no other player on Juve past or present who I woud consider a favourite. I have no real opinion of most Juve players, other than there performance at the time of evaluation.

    ian,i'm surprised you'd rather leave the last spot blank than give it to dp at the very least!
    You should not be so surprised. Del Piero has not been the god-like player he is made out to be for some time. Now before you start labelling me the next Spactacus let me elaborate:

    Del Piero was good, not great, but he had great timing. he came on the scene at Juve at a young age and won over the fans with some good performances. Being a fan favourite, he is given more credit than he deserves, though he does deserve some. To be honest, I think that most Juve fansa re blinded by their memorie of the "great" Del Piero, but I don't really remember him, because back then I was a hard-core Real Betis fan.
