it was a jibe at the australian culture where i dwell, where racism is EXPECTED and RESPECTED not seen as ignorant and vicious, as in many other western cultures.
As for Rat being girly...he looks cute indeed, but is far from a lapdog happy to be used as a fashion accesory. From a distance, or static up close, he could be an eowk mixed with Falkor from Never Ending Story, but once animated, he is more like a critter. Soppy only when falling asleep, or just awakening from his slumber, UNLESS THE BONE IS UNDER HIS PAWS...
he has been trained, and continues to be trained. Taking his food is no problem, calling him in the park to follow me, when he is off the leash, no problem...kicking him out of bed...I had a dog whispering lady friend visit a few weeks back, who told me he knew full well that i was his pack leader, but the bone, for some reason, brought out in him a shockingly strong bestial defensive posture. She showed me how to remedy the problem, by camly grabbing his scruff and his throat and putting him on his back until he quit the savagery...i have been doing this same routine, with a bone, sharing it with him, since then...and on the night in question, we had done some bone training. He was asleep, woke up, instinct took over and he attacked. I am certain that he realized what he was doing soon after, else his needle teeth would have done far more damage, as i was drunk, and my reactions...less than vital.
It was an accident...for i did not know he had the small piece of bone guarded under his paws and claws.
Where is that latin sleaze Cesar, when I need him?? or better still that english bitch with the boots...
