If they were both free I'd go for Cassano. Because Cassano is worth 25-30m € and is playing for Roma(Emerson, Capello, Zebina is enough; they learned their lesson) I'd go for Mutu and Nonda or Suazo.

We need to invest in the defense next year.

Of course that if they were both free everyone'd choose Cassano. But at the current situation, Mutu is much better than Cassano for some reasons.

Juventus fc is and will be related to drugs even if Mutu does not join the club.
Exactly, with the trial and Davids and Blasi testing positive, Mutu will make little difference.

God damn.....how long do you watch SerieA???? My god, before two years he was the onley one in 20g + 15ass. club.....he can dribble, pass, run be creative and score, and he keeps his head cool....that puts him in pole position over Cassano and miles ahead in front of Gila.
Good call Bark. This would be one of the greatest signings ever, that is, if Mutu regains any of that oustanding form he had with Parma a few years ago. Only fitting to have one of my favorite players ever take over for another great, Del Piero, at the Stadio delle Alpi.

There's a high risk that Mutu is going to be the Robert Downey Jr. of soccer.

I can only imagine the radio announcers:
"Zambrotta passes upfield to Blasi... Blasi steers it down and makes a run along the touch line... Crosses for Mutu!.... Oh, and Mutu is escorted off the pitch to Le Vallette prison and misses the finish."

Really? What kind of evidence is there to prove that? I mean, sure he said that he was sorry, but that doesn't mean he's not a cocaine user anymore. You don't just stop using coke, it's very addictive.

What's that about? I just thought that maybe you had some reasoning behind your assertion that Mutu is clean now...I guess not.

that is my concern as well..i dun understand why people here very fast to accept Mutu.. i can understand if a player say he would never used performance engacing drug. But cocaine is different. Its not as simple as saying in front a press conference that u will stop and u will actually stop.

I don't give a rat's ass if Mutu has a little toke up during half-time if he is supplying the goods on the pitch. And remember people, he's free. I would certainly take a chance on someone of Mutu's calibre even if he has a drug problem.

wouldnt u still give a rat ass when he again suspended for a season and Juventus still have to pay his high contract?

That is a chance I am willing to take. And you speak like there is no hope for Mutu whatsoever. I am a fan of giving people second chances, and Mutu is too good not to deserve one. Even a coked up Mutu would be better than Del Piero IMO.
