Buffon

Thuram Ferrari Lucio Zambrotta

Tacchinardi

Fiore Maresca Del Piero

Mutu Gilardino

Sorry bit this is a very bad formation, it would never work like that. Especially the left side would be very weak defensively, and Del Piero does not fit in this formation, sure ha can play on the left, but not as a left midfielder.

With those player it would probably better to play something like this:
Thuram Ferrari Lucio Zambrotta

----------Tacchinardi

Fiore -------------- Maresca

---------- Del Piero
-------Mutu Gilardino

Although i don't like this formation either.

We should only target Mutu if Del Piero leaves. He's not a Nedved replacement, and I don't think he could partner DP upfront. Both of them prefer the left side and they enjoy taking on defenders. I think they'd end up stepping on each other's feet.

PS. Anyone for Crespo, Hasselbaink or Gudjohnsen?

Crespo wouldn't be bad... Although not the youngest, expensive and high salary.

Couldn't agree more, and if Mutu comes, Miccoli will be forgotten...

No way for Hasselbaink (too old), Gudjohnsen is just too bad and Crespo is too expensive...

And to others, yes, Mutu is much better than Di Vaio, but they don't really play same role, I can't see what Mutu has to offer, he's not that good... I'm just sceptical about him...

What he has to offer?.....hm maybe again 20+ goals and 20+assists as he did in Parma?
Do you think that Chelsky would spended all that money on a player that isnt great? Do you think that he is bad cuz he doesnt suit in EPL? Do you think that he forgott to play football cuz one bad season?

Man people that criticize Mutu just because he had a so so season should shut their mouth, what should we say about Dp then...

Mutu is a hell of a player and if Prandelli comes he would be a perfect piece for Pradelli's team.

I would luv to see Camo on the right, Kapo on the center, Mutu on the left behind Gila or Cavenaghi...pure class!

If DP leaves Mutu would be an ideal replacement imo. People talk about Miccoli and though I think he has a good future ahead of him, he's not as good as the Romanian. Other options would be Fernando Torres, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and if you want to take a chance why not Carlos Tevez?

How about we just keep and have a little faith in our talismanic captain?
Onley fools say that if Mutu comes,DP must leave. We could play(and we will if Mutu comes) 4-3-3 with Gila/Cave/Bobo/Zlatan in the middle and DP & Mutu behind him......that how we won CL remember? It would work just great.....IMO
