I don’t know man, couple of people I know and a co-worker that were vegan and all about organic stuff had to sign off on so much paper work before they left the hospital for not having their babies vaccinated. I understand the hospital side for liability purposes but they didn’t let the parents leave without signing the paper work which I heard was a bunch, however even though it was mandated, parents were doing this before all this. They’re the parents so it’s their choice and yours if you lived here too.

Unfortunately a lot of people are too stupid to be relied upon to make good choices for their own children, let alone something that affects children and people around theirs. This is why you need strong, educated guidance.

yesterday i started to write a very long post about this but had to pick up a phone call and never finished the post. long story short, the first pediatrician of my son, a knowledgeable, experienced, very, very attentive and conscientious lady was caught in a nasty story and was sent into early retirement. in my hometown, a mom of 3 stopped breastfeeding and then completely stopped feeding her 3rd child. the pediatrician wasn't let in the apartment for compulsory family visits because of a bullshit excuse, then she returned for a 2nd time, then alerted authorities, they told some health visitors (??? hope it's the right expression) to try to get in the apartment, they couldn't, called the police, they called the ambulance, nobody was let in, eventually the police broke in but the baby was already dead. the mother simply ignored the kid. and it was her 3rd, and the first 2 were healthy and well fed, so you could safely assume that it would be the case for the 3rd too. but it wasn't. so everyone involved in the case, including the pediatrician was found partially responsible for the death of the infant. allegedly she should have alerted the authorities after the first failed visit. anyway...
point is that sometimes parents aren't ready to make responsible decisions for whatever reason. and in those cases, the state should be smarter. and this is why you trust the experts. you bring your car to the car mechanic, you let a luthier set up your guitar, you don't start fucking around with the soldering iron for your first time when your amplifier blows a capacitor, and when you brake a leg, you rely on a surgeon.
