I assumed from your post that you weren't aware that the son/current president had the same name, my bad if I misunderstood.

That Trump lacks standards on social media (or anywhere else) is surprising to no one, though as far as that goes this was a pretty mild case which is maybe why very few cared about it.

He actually whitewashed Marcos sr during the meeting itself, calling them a "great family" with a "great family legacy". Marcos jr also has a history of downplaying his father's brutal rule. If more people became aware of the latter because two letters weren't added to his name in a tweet, good.
