Congrats on the big beautiful bill and the tax cuts for billionaires.

I've thought long and hard about this and you're probably right: your money is better off with Bezos than with you. You truly deserve his tax cuts.
Which says nothing of the real American traditions on July 4th's Independence Day:

Skanky porn videos featuring girls in red, white and blue bikinis flirting with barbecue-grilled meats while Joey Chestnut shows us how to turn an eating disorder into a sport for the day.

Don’t worry, the hate is mutual. I won’t ever look at any random white person the same way. Chances are they are just uneducated scum who would be better off dead.

I mean, Hust literally said he’d rather have Elon Musk have his money than himself, so of course he’ll be happy with this.

Funny thing is, NWS sent out flood alerts and local officials ignored them. Those kids blood is on their hands at the cost of extra profit. But that’s normal in the US now.
I heard it was a Christian camp. Not surprising, Christians think weather doesn’t exist. Better to just let Jesus take the wheel. After all, he created the flooding himself. So they’re better off dead anyway.

Why? Is there shortage of other habitable land?
There is no shortage of habitable land in TX. Wealthier/High ground areas are mostly occupied or already built out for decades. Outside of erosion of these areas, mainly floodplains offer opportunities to expand towns with commercial and residential structures. But floodplains are an inherent risk and occupants assume that risk all over TX.

Also:
Much of the low risk land around there are privately owned ranches.
Demand for housing and business allow developers to acquire land for a small premium and sell rent structures for competitive market rates.
Overall, flooding is simply a known assumed hazard residents must endure.
Most insurance companies charge insanely high premiums for areas in risky flood zones. Obviously it’s going to be risky when you’re adjacent to a river
