Neither Kamala or Bernie are communist, let alone Marxist. It's just that the US right is very easy to use the dirty 'c' word to dismiss someone if they show any socialist views, or even social democratic. The country is more right wing populist than many others in the civilised world. In most of those countries Bernie would be centre-left. In the US compared to the most fascist Republican party in memory he obviously looks like Karl Max.

Trump uses the phrases 'Marxist' and 'communist' a lot and so obviously MAGA parrot it but I doubt he even understands it. Btw was Kamala's father a Marxist professor or a professor who taught Marxism? I believe it was the latter. She definitely doesn't follow that line of thinking.

Speaking of the whole "Marxist" thing, thinking about it now, maybe 90% of the Trump supporters that I know of are perpetually getting government checks of some sort (employment with government, food stamps/Medicaid, "disability").
