tsmc makes the a18 chips for iphones. they use the 3nm process which is only available in taiwan as far as i remember. they are preparing for 3nm in their american factory but it would take some time. screens are made by samsung or lg in korea, broadcomm outsources most production to taiwan or china, sony would never move production to murica and they supply the sensors for most high end phone cameras. other murican companies like cirrus logic or broadcomm also manufacture stuff in china iirc. it's like an expensive lego and if you want the best parts that are still somewhat affordable then asian manufacturing is pretty obvious
