you're right that it's absurd. but muricans and their guests are also forced to celebrate. look at what's happening with the press and people. if you're questioning trump, you're labeled fake news and banned from the press room. if you're fact checking blondie on tariffs, you're insulting. if you don't constantly show gratitude in a specific way, you'll get no intelligence or military support. if you stick with a trade agreement that trump signed previously, you're labeled "hard to deal with, terrible". if you don't agree with cutting government programs without the senate and you're vocal about it, you'll be escorted out of a town hall. secretaries and key leaders were selected based on their blind loyalty, professional background wasn't even considered. etc.
this is murica now. a very different country to what we're used to. might not be the same shithole as russia instantly, but the standard of living is worse than 3 months ago, the economic outlook isn't great, checks and balances are destroyed, xi, putin and kim are buddies while canada, eu and mexico are enemies, free speech is nonexistent, oligarchs are on the receiving end of the biggest transfer of wealth of the last few decades, trump is actively helping 2 genocidal mass murderers, ice raids the country and will deport you if you're not a blondie with blue eyes and have some tattooos, senate is reduced to assist to trump's idiotic governance by executive orders. it is fully trumpistan now, and he's their dear leader. it's only a matter of time before he weaponizes the army too against some selected lucky people, just give donnie some time
