in hungarian we have a saying for a guy who thinks he's in charge of everything, but he's wrong. it sounds like "he thinks he's blowing the trade winds"




this is simply embarrassingly dumb. how come there's no one around him who explains tariffs to him?

What if he knows what he’s doing? Tariffs raise the prices but also government revenue that allows for a billionaire tax cut; hence a big transfer of wealth.

Tariffs are great. They will make us buy all the products from our own country, 99% of which we don’t produce.
