I agree, I voted for Oliver Chase. Kamala didn’t appeal to me at all, and I didn’t want the democrat party to have my vote, even though I’m a registered democrat. They’re too corporate friendly and they lean too hard into identity politics. Neither of which I agree with.
I’m getting too pessimistic about politics the older I get. It’s literally a matter of who can buy more influence, politicians are basically middle managers screwing regular Americans out of all they can to benefit corporations.
I don't even care about corporations anymore, to be honest. We'll always have them, unless we decide to make it impossible for them to do business here, which in that case means they'll move elsewhere. Both parties allow the Federal Reserve to do whatever it wants, and that's how the big banks get to screw over regular Muricans. Trump said during his first campaign he wanted to audit the Fed, but now he's basically the Fed on steroids with rates at zero or even negative rates, another policy that will make inflation skyrocket again. Funny how all the inflation blame is put on the Dems when both parties basically follow the same policies.
Serious question - have you always voted Republican? What are your biggest concerns about the state of the country?
For all the dismissal of "mean tweets" being substantially irrelevant, I find it funny that people vote for someone because the other party called them a bad name.
It's the ultimate "Liberal Snowflake" move. Someone calls me a bad name, so I do everything that I can to prove they're right.
How to marriages like this last?
Probably because politics isn't really a big concern for them at the end of the day. They're really into their own lives and country club crap, so it's just a side show to get worked up about once every four years.
