You can't compare Meloni to Trump.

So anyways...

Mexico is now our largest import partner, not China. So here's the things that will skyrocket in price.

Vehicles
Auto Parts and Equipment
Electronics and Appliances
Crude Petroleum
Medical Instruments
Beer
Plastic items
Gems & precious metals

All of those things MAGA probably need or use on a daily basis. Other than gems, of course, because they're poor.

Enjoy the flation.

Not to mention he wants to trash Mexican economy which as Kyle says, will definitely stop illegal immigration :shifty: :lol2:

I assume he means that goods would be imported to Mexico first through a Mexican-based company, and from there then be imported into the United States neglecting that there would also be tariffs there, and the biggest issue, it does nothing to actually solve the trade deficit with China which was allegedly his goal to begin with.
Okay.

But why would he want to circumvent policy he wanted in the first place?

He votes for Trump, because Trump is good for the economy. Trump wants tariffs.

Shouldn't he then actually want people to pay tariffs rather than try to find a way around them?

Him paying the tariff is good for the economy. He can also brag to his friends that he is paying more to support Trump. That's what patriots do.

The Trump government wants to cut taxes, and if his first term is anything to go by, without cutting government spending (they’ll cut social programs but increase defense, police, infrastructure, and other spending). In fact government spending rose massively even before Covid and with a majority in the senate and house during Trump’s first term.

Now how could they possibly due this without further ballooning the debt (like they did in his first term)… Tariffs are part of that. They shall first hit businesses importing goods, but those businesses obviously won’t take the hit themselves, they shall pass it along to American consumers. Now who spends a much higher percentage of their income on goods? Lower and middle class folk. So the rich shall get richer with a reduced tax burden, and those in lower income brackets shall grow poorer with the increase in cost of goods not offsetting the meagre tax breaks they get.

Fun times. Just another GOP wealth shift to the 1%. Lol

Don't forget Elon Musk's Billionaire's Club $3T Austerity Plan where he will cut certain federal programs. But those savings will be wiped out by a $6T Deportation Plan, if not more.

Well, yes.

But that's what they said they'd do and people voted for him. So this is what the American people want.

Keep in mind I do support cutting government spending in certain areas, we have to.

But the last fucking person on the planet I want running the "analysis" of what to cut is a rent seeking, South African weirdo phaggot who circles jerks Putin every so often.

Just realized, these tariffs should skyrocket housing prices. I guess it's fine for corporations though, they could just keep buying up single family homes and siphon money from the middle class. Yeah we're fucked. But bathrooms.

That’s the craziest thing to me. Lower income people are supporting this:

The biggest issue with tariffs is probably that they can work to reinvigorate your own economy as long as you have local alternatives.

But frankly that's not how the world makes stuff these days. We build things all over the world, we even bring in produce from all over the world. Because it's more efficient that way.

In a way it's an interesting experiment. Let's see what people do when they can't afford iPhones made in Asia.

But that in of itself will jack up prizes like crazy. Even MAGA merch is made in China because it’s cheaper.
