How is it worse, if you get what you want?

Americans want more expensive goods and a weaker dollar. Let's give it to them.
Basically the labour government lied to get into office, they promised tax reductions, fixing the economy etc... recent budget has infact put further strain on our pockets, the new inheritance tax is just daylight robbery, businesses will suffer with increased strain on them too, they literally have no idea what they are doing but only got into power over false claims yet had no plans of how to meet them, so they instead blame the last government for their problems as they always do. They even said before the budget "it's going to hurt"
Their approval rating is already lower than Liz Truss who was prime minister for a matter of weeks because she was that unpopular.

I think respect for non-college males is a cute theory, but nobody meaningfully gets elected president on that policy.

More to the point: people hate the price increases with Covid-triggered inflation experienced around the world, and someone's head has to roll. That would explain most of this election.

Immigration even comes a distant second to that.
I think it's more about appealing to the every man and and less about niche identity politics as a key focus.

But you are also right about this being a reaction to the post covid economy. People buying the tariffs thing is hilarious though.

Bernie acts like voters are playing 4-D chess when it’s just, “Damn, my Big Mac is $17 and my monthly rent is higher than the town’s population now”.

It’s the moderates who sway elections. They aren’t all-in on the Kool-Aid like the Trump boat parades.

They really bought into Trump's concepts of a health care plan too.
The working class bought into more unfair conditions and fewer working rights
The Blacks and Latinos bought into being deported.
I just dont get how people voted for Trump just to save a few dollars on their groceries (or so they are lead to believe) in exchange for things worth a lot more.

That’s what I love about you man. You’re willing to change your mind on things. I can’t say I’m as flexible as you are.
Politics has always been about that for me though. I'm strictly an independent through and through, fiscally conservative and socially liberal. I've always generally hated both parties and politicians in general.

you know why they have a chart out there that starts at 50 mil and only show a brief history ? i will gladly answer it for you if you want

Thanks for posting that. You basically dispelled the myth in one single post. Intellectual dishonesty by some at it's finest.

If anything, the only election that was "stolen" was the one on Tuesday. It was stolen by Musk and stupid people.

Call me an elitist, but I feel less sympathy for the working class when they're whining about our Chinese enemy taking our jobs and buying our farmland when they are surfing Amazon, Walmart, Temu, and Shein to send every US dollar they can to China with everything they buy.
Same here. I've never seen a group of people so eager to vote for their own demise.

Or sheer lunacy: offering to bribe/pay off an Iranian oil tanker captain not to unload on the dock (playing his amateir hand at hostage negotiation after watching a few episodes of Standoff), rolling back post-2008 financial meltdown banking regulations (yay for later Silicon Valley Bank and almost tanking banking two years ago), "Sharpiegate" in having U.S. meteorologists conform hurricane tracking predictions to cover for his own personal ignorance, etc.

That chaos costs the country more than just mean tweets. And it's only going to get worse with his mental decline.
Speaking of meteorologists, I wonder what the future holds for NWS and NOAA with the looming Elon Musk Billionaire's Club $3T Austerity plan. I know many people these days hate science and scientists in general, but the NWS at least attempts to save peoples' lives through issuing warnings and the like. I would hope Elon doesn't decide to cut the Storm Predictions Center, for instance.

But hey, if you're masters of voting for your own demise, cancelling the ability to know whether a tornado is coming your way is not a bad bet. Everyone can instead just listen to Ryan Hall, Ya'll squad on Youtube since he speaks their language with the southern draw, and all.

I hope Trump does what he said he'll do:

- A pardon for himself for any past (and most likely future) crimes.

- No more elections.

- Mass deportations.

- No more vaccines.

- Massive tariffs on all imported goods.

- A weaker dollar.

- Punishment for all those who dare to oppose him.

All of this needs to happen. Preferably as soon as he is sworn in. No time to waste.
Don't forget Elon Musk's Billionaire's Club $3T Austerity Plan. Since he helped Trump win, he'll now get to determine what federal programs will be cut. Perhaps he will decide to end some specific intelligence programs aimed at Russia as a favor to his boy in Moscow. That would be solid. Or maybe he can nuke the doppler radar program throughout the country. That would be cool, let God take the wheel.

Btw, RFK Jr as head of Health & Human Services would be a perfect example of the flavor of "meritocracy" that comes with Trump.
This is the thing that really turns my stomach though.

Honestly any election result is likely to favour some people and hurt others. I don't understand why so many people of the middle class voted on a billionaire, but who knows what the specific individual situation of each of those voters is. They may or may not benefit.

Getting rid of vaccines is just universally awful though.

It's like the American people either have short memories or thought covid was well managed by Trump

Damn, I though misinformation was only a Trumptard thing.
It's not misinformation, he has said it plenty of times in his recent rallies, let's not pretend he won't do it, he will use it on anyone he dislikes illegal or not, he said himself "the enemy from within"

Hitler once said this back in 1939

And the blacks and latinos that "bought into that" are they citizens or non-citizens?

- - - Updated - - -

He's gonna deport black and latino citizens? i.e. voters who "bought into" that as Badass said?

Trump pulled a draw on Latinos and blacks in this election more than his previous 2 campaigns, so yeah I'll say they bought into it. Like I said it won't matter if they're illegal, criminals or not, that act will enable Trump to remove and deport anyone he likes, you really think Trump likes Latinos and black people?

Suggesting that black and latino citizens will be deported is bullshit/misinformation

He has already said he wants to revoke citizenship in order to deport people.

None of this should come as a surprise.

Frankly, as much as I love spending time in the US I'm not going anywhere near that country in the next few years. There are plenty of nice spots around the world. I'm not going anywhere without being fairly sure I'm not thrown in jail on bullshit charges and might never get out. It seems the US will not be able to guarantee such basic rights in the near future.

Like I said this act allows him to remove his political enemies, deport anyone he wants, Trump without guard rails can now do that, always talks about the enemy from within, what do you think he means by that? There's a reason why that act is from 1798 and not more recent.

Welcome to 1939 ladies and gents. Good luck to you all.
