Looked like a garbage "debate" between two clowns. Hot steaming pile of shit.

Someone answer me this - other than being a democratic socialist, how or why did Bernie Sanders lose to Biden?
Because Biden is Boring and the dems wanted to play it safe by nominating a candidate that no one will be scared to vote for. Bernie has the stronger base, but Biden can be tolerable to a wider audience.

Noob question, does Biden have chance to win here? What do you guys think.
Usually the incumbent has the advantage in presidential elections. However Trump's approval ratings throughout his presidency have been quite low and looking at previous elections that's not a good sign. Historically the approval rating for those re-elected has been somewhere close to 50%, Trump is currently at 43,7%. Biden is also polling quite well nationwide and in some of the key battleground states. So in short, yes Biden has a chance to win.

I find it shocking that democrats couldnt nominate someone who isnt 70 yo or thereabout. Out of all names, is Biden the best they could offer? Tbh I dont see some big change if he gets into the office. I doubt he will increase corporate taxes or break up/regulate technological giants.

it’s usually assault, right?
no idea that's why I asked. By skimming through wiki page they apparenlty mostly organize demonstrations and are antagonized mostly for Wrongthink.

No matter how stupid, left and right belong in a democracy as long as they manage to get their point across peacefully

How was the debate? Demolition or did Biden survive?
As predicted Trump walked all over Biden interrupted him, tried to point out every inconsistency, told lies and interrupted the moderator constantly. I wouldn't say Biden held his own but did Trump's badgering actually appeal to anyone he is trying to win over or did he just lose more support? guess we will see.

tbh I thought Trump seemed unusually desperate last night. I'm guessing he's seen the poll numbers and isn't as confident as he likes to project. Have a feeling that last night was a pretty desperate roll of the dice to try and bash Biden up as much as he could.

Media outlets have very little to do with a level of debate. Maybe Chris Wallace could've been a better moderator, but Chris Wallace is a known entity. He is no Koppel or Cronkite, but he is at least quite respectable I guess. Candidates were the problem, not the media.
The beneficiary of a spectacle is always the broadcaster, in response of you saying nobody won. They did. And the underlying causations of who is in the broader sense responsible for the degeneration of US political landscape aren't as quickly analyzed. That in response of 'b-but the moderator tried'
