As a Republican since 1987, I can only say this.

Thank you Alabama.

Thank you Thank you Thank you.

Steve Bannon managed to somehow make a republican lose in Alabama. Master strategist my ass.
He made a huge mistake in one of his rallies, which either shows how ignorant or out of touch he is.

Joe Scarborough is a popular target for him and Trump, and Bannon started insulting him about his education, stating that he couldn't get into the good schools like Harvard and Georgetown, so he had no right to say anything.

Guess where Scarborough went to college?

Roll Tide !!!!!!

 really? I had not heard that sorry. That's the real Bannon.
Bannon got famous because Democrats picked the wrong candidate and Trump won. Now he picked the wrong candidate and lost. This Alabama Senate election puts a huge dent in his reputation.

Tbh at this point I think it's probably safe to say no one should be Republican for a while. Easily the most toxic party I've ever seen in a western democracy. It's all propaganda, mudslinging, lying, twisting words, blackmailing and all sorts of generally toxic behaviour coming from that party. And the worst part of it is that you have a de facto two party system. You just can't afford to have a party like this, if you want a functioning government.

“We have stopped prayer in our schools,” Moore said in his statement. “We have killed over 60 million of our unborn children. We have redefined marriage and destroyed the basis of family, which is the building block of our country. Our borders are not secure. Our economy is faltering under an enormous national debt. We have a huge drug problem. We have even begun to recognize the right of a man to claim to be a woman, and vice versa. We have allowed Judges and justices to rule over our Constitution, and we have become slaves to their tyranny. Immorality sweeps over our land.”

This is just ridiculous. But sadly it's the voice of way too many people.

This is the sort of reasoning that made people in the Middle Ages think the plague was a punishment from God..
