They are lies because Fake News outlets say they are. His major campaign issue is that the Washington establishment doesn't care about middle America. Obviously that is the case, otherwise Hillary would have won. Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and other states aren't filled with a bunch of "racists". They have been screwed over countless times and the Democrats have failed to help them -- because they love exporting jobs to spread the "wealth." I'm pretty confident Trump will be far more capable to help them than the same people who have failed at it for decades.

Uhhh... I think it was like 95%. Stop pushing faux news, Zach. Maybe people here will start calling you Anderson Pooper-Scooper. :rolleyes2
Fake News. With capital letters. Really? This is the way you're going.

It's as if the internet conspiracy theorists have finally won.

White house's press secretary is an imbecile serving well another imbecile. I have never thought that a US president will start petty fights with the press over a irrelevant issue like the number of attendees on his inauguration but here we are..This behavior is worthy of an authoritarian regime. It is a "Deja Vu" as already saw something similar in my country in 2013. Then we had massive protests in the capital over the appointment of some crook for director of a national security agency and the ruling communists ( they pretend to be social democrats) disputed the number of protesters. Every major news outlet declared and showed thousands or even tens of thousands on the weekends but the ruling party and police were talking about several hundreds protesters. Blatant lies...We stopped the appointment and the party ruled for a year. I hope the same will happen to Trump.

A big part of trumps campaign has been showing how untruthfull media are. He's obviously not stopping that now.
Its a shame the media continue to lie and deceive the guy who is now president.

Meanwhile, protesters ? You mean those people that are trowing riots and destroying businesses over a democratically elected president ?

We saw it in Canada under Stephen Harper @Fr3sh

They made the press submit questions they wanted to ask the PM for pre-approval and refused to speak with certain media.

Trump is attacking freedom of the press. It's been a clear and overt thing throughout his entire campaign.

Tbh it's unlikely that they're lying. 'The media' are a vast number of papers, radio stations, TV channels.. All of which have conflicting intrests. There are also a couple of them that have truthful reporting as their biggest asset. They'd lose millions if they'd turn out to be fake.

No, this is nothing more than a campaign from Trump. And a smart one too. Because any accusation they make now he can set away as Fake News.

All of this is insanely dangerous and one of the biggest threats to democracy I have seen in a western country in my lifetime. It is not okay.

He is. And that alone should be enough to have him impeached.

It is always the same with autocrats - if they don't control the media they blame it for lying. The dictators want only positive coverage.

In my country it was mainly peaceful protests and what I see in USA the majority of people protesting are also mainly peaceful.

No Zach, the thousands of people that went to the women's march and didn't destroy anything. They just want the president to defend their rights. Protesting is the most american, most democratic thing you can do. Just cause it's not reich doesn't make it wrong.

Yes, because of Jawed. They can't have ties to the company if he wants to work in Washington. But you know better than this -- he has strong woman around him which obviously negates the whiny liberal marches.
Go ahead and name Trump's pro-woman policies.

Also, anyone who uses the term Fake News, really needs to stop.

I agree but at the same time we have Breitbart, Fox, Daily Mail, Russia Today which are nothing more than propaganda machines.

Every news outlet has their own agenda. RT does a good job reporting on things that CNN, BBC and the other mainstream news won't report. Agenda or not, they still report factual information (unless someone knows of otherwise)

The whomans march didnt break stuff, that was a good protest. I'm referring to the inauguration riots.

The question i will ask is, exactly which right dont women have in the US ?

Same age , education/work background and same experience gives exactly the same salary
Under 35 y/o twice as likely to be favored for a job over a male when we talk jobs that require higher education
More women graduate from colleague and university
Extreme female bias (not saying its a bad thing), for child custody and protection in marriage.

If they want to march to ensure their rights will remain the same, i'm totally cool with that.

But there arent any rights left that they dont have allready

Yeah man. They were marching to preserve their rights. There is a great chance that Roe v Wade will get overturned with this administration and they want to protect that.

If you wait to protest until your rights have been taken away, then you're probably already in a concentration camp.

So what. Now politicians can decree any report, no matter how factual, to be Fake News. Very dangerous precedent being set by the Trump administration.

Why ?

Trump made his entire campaign by pointing out how many times leftist democrat media such as CNN, MSNBC, Washington post, Huffington post and new york times were misrepresenting stuff all the time
There isnt a single mainstream american media, that doesnt lie or mispresents facts.

Most in that list do it by pulling stuff out of context. And then there is CNN which literally lies, or worse

- They consistantly lied about the number of people at trumps rally's. Only once a camera zoomed out to see the huge crowd. That guy was fired later.
- They published news that was not veryfied, and didnt bother doing so.
- At Trumps inauguration, they made a story about Nancy Sinatra not wanting Trump to use "my way". She personally responded to CNN asking why they where lying as she never said that.
- They ran a big story in great detail about if Trump and Pence got killed, how it would allow the Obama administration to pick a democratic successor.

36% of Americans trust mainstream media (which aside from Fox is all democratic, breitbart is alternative media). It just 26% of people under 49.

Fox does nothing that MSNBC or others arent reporting, and isnt as bad as CNN
Breitbart is a mix of opinions and actual facts

Nobody cares about a tabloid

RT, as Quetzalcoatl said, is actually fantastic. I read it exactly for what he says, reporting all the stuff that CNN and BBC arent reporting. Sure, they glorify the russian warmachine and like to ridicule Obama, but they dont make shit up.
American Media have found a great 'modern propaganta', by en masse not reporting certain things, and putting great attention on contrasting stuff.

RT is the nice news outlet that will have picked up those stories from alternative american media, and then report it.

This is why Obama specifically hated RT. All the stuff they didnt want to see or didnt like to be blown up about Clinton ? Yup, RT did exactly that.

I have no problem with their march. It was peacefull, and they send a voice. And they should do it now, its nice.

Especially Since Trump works from day 1 to re-election so he'll take that in account
